“HAPPY NEW YEAR”
…………………….Jac and I were invited to a private club in upper Manhattan for the New Year’s Eve celebration. The photo was taken in the lobby of a hotel on 58th Street between 5th Ave and 6th Ave. It no longer exists……We were picking up friends who were also going to the party. The party was in a hotel, but I can’t remember the name of the hotel or the name of the membership only supper club……It was many years ago…..I just remember it was down a circular flight of stairs and it was beautiful. It was dinner and dancing and reveling to the wee hours of the morning……Everyone looked resplendent in their black tie and evening gowns, but all prejudice aside……Jac was the most beautiful! She wore the Forest Green Velvet coat/dress with the Gold Bullion embroidery and the Sable collar and cuffs……..Underneath she wore a bias cut, cowl neck halter long dress. It was in a burn out velvet, and the pattern of the burn out was ivy leaves and vines. The fabric was hand painted in shades of forest green and other complimentary shades of green….all very moody…….When we danced….everyone stared at Jac……I was so proud….. Of course the women made believe they weren’t looking at Jac, but I saw them all taking their sideward glances. The men just stared, but who could help it!…….We had a great time and sat with good friends!……Good memories of a wonderful New Years Eve party!…………………….Happy 2022 everyone……………….Lets pray for better days ahead!!!
