“THE RUBY TWEED PRINT BLOUSE”

…………………………The RUBY TWEED PRIUNT BLOUSE was a wonderful addition to the Ruby Tweed woven pieces. The separate scarf transformed the blouse from one design into another. As you can see in the center blow up picture…it’s hard to distinguish the woven skirt from the print top. The addition of the blouse added a true designer touch.

“LAPIS BLUE WHISPER KNITS”

……………….LAPIS BLUE became one of my key colors for October 2013. It appeared in the tweeds and tailored woven blazers, the Ponte Knit hoodie blazer, and the sequin separates just o name a few…….Here the Whisper Knit separates to be worn on their own or mixed with many other colors and styles….from the jackets, and againĀ  to the sequin separates….The matching pant gave you that sliming column of color……There were many jewelry pieces in this color with gold……..It was a fabulous and successful color in every incarnation.

“THE HERRINGBONE STORY”

…………….For my Oct. group I developed a woven HERRINGBONE TWEED for an elongated jacket, a six gored skirt and a large shawl…….I also developed a coordinating Herringbone Tweed print for a blouse and matching oblong scarf to look like the woven fabric……..The print came in all of the same colors as the woven tweed…..RUBY/IVORY……LAPIS/IVORY…..and BLACK/IVORY……..The original fabric I found had a much smaller herringbone pattern, and optically the colors blended too much, so I asked the mill to enlarge it. They made me several handlooms to choose from, and this is the size I chose. Next to decide the colors!. I thought these colors would be perfect for the Holidays going right into early Spring. I had the dome button made for me using a similar button I used on one of my Anne Klein collections…….To coordinate with the woven tweed I had a coordinating tweed print developed. I basically just sent a swatch of the tweed and the colors to the print mill and told them to copy it. They did a pretty good job, and from a distance you couldn’t tell them apart. I always thought if the print was done in Italy it would have been a perfect match, but then it would have been 10 times the price!
