………I know there are areas of the country that just the word rain brings terrible fear….they have had historic amounts, and don’t want any more…..Then there are areas of the country, like the west where they are praying for rain to elleviate the horrific heat and the devastating fires! Here on the north east coast we have been living under such severe water restrictions that everything is dying…I don’t even know if we will have a fall certainly…..not a colorful one since all of the leaves are drying and falling off the trees…..Now we are getting two days of blessed rain and no one is complaining…..Maybe my lawn will become green again….If you still don’t believe in Global Warming….you have buried your head in the sand….WAKE UP TO REALITY!

……………………..Happy Labor Day everyone……Even though the season and the weather is still summer, for me Labor Day brings the summer season to a close. The school busses where I live are out in full force…..WAITING behind school busses picking up and letting off those little deals is a true sign that fall can’t be far off. It’s been so dry that the leaves are just falling off of the trees. I doubt we will have a pretty fall season here in the north east…….but……Labor Day is a time to celebrate and honor ALL of the workers who contribute to the strength of this great nation.

…………………….Lou, his wife Maria and I had a lovely dinner at a local restaurant called the “CRAB SHELL”. The restaurant has been there for years, but everything around the restaurant has dramatically changed. What used to be a pretty dismal canal has been transformed in a beautiful Marina. and across the canal what use to be industrial has been transform into “HARBOR POINT”, a group of beautiful apartment buildings, restaurants and stores……Many people have moved out of New York to this area, because, it is only one stop on the express Metro North railroad……a perfect commute for people who work in NYC…….a great escape especially in the COVID era…..It was fun to eat outdoors in the last days of summer with two of my favorite people!
