“THE TOPAZ SUEDE & THE TOPAZ JERSEY KNIT”

…………………..Due to my American Sportswear background….within each group I always offered coordinating pieces in the same colors or colors that accented well. The TOPAZ SUEDE JACKET coordinated with the TOPAZ KNIT SEPARATES……This new jersey fabric was the perfect weight….not too heavy nor was it too light or flimsy. The tweed pattern was actually PRINTED on top of the solid color. The fabric was dyed in my colors of choice…..in this case TOPAZ, and the black tweed pattern was printed on top…..There were two styles…..a pullover top with a generous COWL NECK, slim sleeves and a slightly shaped body. The other style was a maxi skirt with a wide stitched down panel front and slant trouser pockets. It was A-Line and had a back zip……….The two pieces together made a fabulous dress look, but since the “tweed” print was black the pieces could easily coordinate with many other black or solid Topaz pieces……The GUNMETAL CROSS with the deep TOPAZ CABOCHON cent stone was the perfect necklace.

“THE BLACK OTTOMAN JACKET & PENCIL SKIRT”

………………..The OTTOMAN KNIT FABRIC was brand new to Linea. I had used a similar fabric years ago made for me in Italy for Anne Klein. The only difference was the yarn. The Italian yarn was 100% Virgin Wool and the new yarn was 100% Cotton. You really couldn’t tell the difference from looking at them, and with the Ottoman construction, a horizontal rib, they were both beefy and kept their shape beautifully…..It came in three colors…..Charcoal Heather…..Spruce Green…..and…Black…..It had a zip front ….a shirt collar and pockets. I can’t remember if it was lined or not, but because it was a stretch knit I don’t think it was. It certainly didn’t need to be. The pencil skirt was a pull-on and was a great skirt with the jacket or on its’ own….The BLACK OTTOMAN above, mixed with the Topaz WK, was a wonderful combination along with the Gunmetal cross with the Topaz cabochon center stone.
