………..With all of the recent bad news….I thought we all needed a little break, and something  lighter to post about, so I thought  it was time to get back to my Linea Retrospective……Feb is always the official opening of SPRING…….Feb 2013 was divided into two groups. The first group had eight new pieces and three reorders……a Crepe blazer and matching boot cut pant, a pleated georgette skirt, a clipped dot blouse……a textured jacquard fitted cardigan….a Whisper knit tank…..a jacquard pattern dress…….and a Striped open cascade front cardigan were all part of the first group……There were also three reorders…..a short georgette tiered skirt with a pleated border in black, ivory and violet…..a mock neck elbow sleeve Whisper Knit sweater in navy, perfectly pink, black, white and hot pink, and an A-line cotton jacquard jacket in a Hounds Tooth pattern. It was now offered in white, yellow, turquoise, black and iris….I am sure there are many of you that still own many of these pieces 10 years later.

“THE BLAZER, THE BLOUSE, THE PANT, THE SKIRT”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

………………….For the Feb 2013 Group# 1 there was a CREPE BLAZER and matching crepe BOOT CUT PANT…..in IVORY and BLACK……..There was a polyester georgette pleated skirt with a solid fabric yoke…..the colors….BAMBOO, BLACK and IVORY………..There was also a beautiful sheer CLIP DOT blouse with a V-NECKLINE AND A DOUBLE LOOP BOW TIE…….The shoulder had a yoke with pleats. It was perfect under the jacket.

“THE CLIP DOT BLOUSE”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

………………..The Clip Dot Blouse was made in a sheer georgette with jacquard dots with the “float” threads clipped around each dot. This type of fabric was originally made in Switzerland. “Dotted Swiss”, and the threads were clipped by hand making the fabric super expensive. Later machines were created to do this process. This blouse had two “streamers on each side of the neckline, starting at the center back neck….which came around to the front where they were to be tired in a bow. It was beautifully feminine in….BLACK…………IVORY…..and BLUSH.
