……………….The Silk dresses were simple sleeveless chemises with scoop necklines, and the silhouettes followed the lines of the body. The cover ups were DOUBLE LAYERS OF SILK….and totally REVERSIBLE!……CYPRESS and CHARTREUSE, and ORANGE with MANGO matched the strappy high heeled sandals. “THE BRA DRESS & BUSTIER”

…………….The Rayon/Span knit, that I had made in Italy, was also perfect for the Bra dress and the Bra bustier, besides the Capri pant and Unitard. A lighter weight was used for tank tops. These pieces were beautifully constructed with seaming to contour the body and give a perfect fit…..The Chartreuse dress had matching suede banded sandals. The crop Pique jacket looked fabulous over this very body conscious dress…….The Cypress bra top and silk pleated shorts had a matching silk belt and suede high heeled sandals……Sexy then…..Sexy now!

“LOOK BACK THURSDAY…….CHRISTOPHER”

…………………………..This is my nephew, and Godson Christopher…………Yes, the same Christopher that accompanied me to Africa! The two of us were in the surf at Montauk Point on Long Island about 42-43 years ago!. He was a little skinny thing, and sooooo white [half Irish]. The water was very rough, and a wave had just knocked him over, but he didn’t care. I had to watch him closely or he would have been swept away…….He loved Jac, and Jac would take him for an ice cream cone in town…..just the two of them…….I guess he was  6 or 7  years old?…..Now he’s 6’3″ and 235 lbs. He towers over me. He comes to visit me for a weekend, and we spend some “Uncle Louie time” together……just the two of us.

“THE SLEEK KNIT DRESS”

……………………What is there more to say???…..A SLEEK, MODERN KNIT DRESS with CLEAN LINES…..THAT IS 30 YEARS OLD!….and looks like it was made today!!!!…..There is nothing more timeless…..and the ORANGE just made it even more FABULOUS!…..The Orange Suede Banded high heel sandal with gold leather detailing was the perfect shoe to finish this outstanding look….If you’re wondering what the GOLD DOTS  were for….this showed what the store bought. This particular Look Book was given to the buyer of Bergdorf Goodman and the dots show what was purchased for the store.. The books were kept in the Anne Klein departments in each store at the beginning of each season for the sales persons use. The customers could look through them. This gave the customers a heads up as to what was coming in so they could make advanced ordering, and if something didn’t have a gold dot that they wanted they could special order it, because EVERYTHING in the Look Books were produced……even the accessories!

“THE UNITARD”

…………….The main thing that make a UNITARD successful or not is the FABRIC it’s made in. This fabric was made for me in Italy by a company that made nothing else but knit fabrics so they knew what they were doing. This RAYON/Span blend had enough body and stretch to make a woman feel secure and “held in”. Is a unitard for everyone??? If you can wear a knit tank and a knit legging than the answer is yes. Due to the fact that the top was styles as a tank, and had no sleeves it made it much easier to get in and out of…..If your body isn’t exactly like Jasmeen and Christie than there are many things you could wear over them….Pareos, sarongs, wrap skirts and scarves tied around the hips gave you the coverage you needed to feel secure. They were available in all of the colors of the collection………from ivory and indigo to chartreuse, orange, violet and cypress. They were a building block to the collection.
