………………….DOLCE & GABBANA did a masterful COUTURE COLLECTION……..My all time favorite color combination is….BLACK & GOLD and they did it MAGNIFICENTLY!……….This was their 2024 Couture Show….the way an ALTA MODA show should be……Every piece, and there were lots of them……was executed by masterful hands……Every fabric…every color…ever embroidery was overwhelming….and it was ALL WEARABLE!!!!…..such riches!!!……The production was FLAWLESS…..The very best of the season bar none……BRAVO!!!!!

………………EVERY DETAIL from HEAD TO TOE, was incredibly thought out as only HAUTE COUTURE can be….ALL HAND MADE……..The jewelry, the shoes, the embroidery, the makeup, and the short wigs in black or metallic gold were all superb!…..one beauty after the other…….and the models were fabulous! Not one so called super model, in the bunch!…..but….they were ALL super!!

………………Beside a plethora of BLACK, and GOLD  & BLACK dresses, there was a series of gorgeous chiffon magnificently draped gowns in the most beautiful colors……The Dolce & Gabbana ateliers certainly know what they are doing…..Each piece is a challenge and was masterfully done!

……………..”THE BLOUSES”…….for lack of a better word……..were so so much more…The workmanship….the lace…the DETAILS……everything about each one was a masterpiece…..The embroidered pants….the feathered skirt and the matching long lace skirt…..high lighted the blouses even more…..These were blouses even QUEEN ELIZABETH the FIRST would have been happy to wear……and best of all………..it was all WEARABLE!

……………….THE STAGING, among the ruins in Sardegna, was spectacular…..The meandering runway between huge mirrored columns that looked like ice jutting through the multi level stages was just a spectacle to see…….At the end the entire stage was filled with models wearing the most breathtaking clothes…..This production….the clothes, the models and the hair and makeup people, the CLOTHES….the stage set and all of the people it took to set it up and light it….the music people…..flying the guests to an island …the organization and logistics boggles the mind…..It must have cost a LARGE fortune!!!……..For me this is what ALTA MODA should be!!!!! IMHO, it put all other couture shows to shame!
