……………….I have ALWAYS been a believer in the WHITE COTTON SHIRT!………Over the 50 plus years I have designed clothing I couldn’t count how many white cotton shirts I have designed….They are the perfect layering piece as shown in the photos on the left….Daniella at the top with a lime T shirt under the white cotton shirt, and the lime leather weskit…with white jeans….and below….Ludmila in the Peach denim jacket with a peach T shirt under the white shirt tucked into white jeans….OR….the White Cotton shirt worn on its’ own as the center of attraction….as on Yasmeen wearing it center and on the right with just a pair of fabulous pant boots……If that doesn’t make a fabulous modern statement….I don’t know what does!…..I have designed different body shapes….different front closings, different collars….different sleeves, and sleeve lengths.. yokes, no yokes….shirring details or flat…..different cuffs….different bottoms….embroidered and plain……it goes on and on……..The ONE COMMON factor is that they were ALL made in a beautiful quality COTTON….some with stretch and many of the earlier ones without……….For me a good classic white cotton shirt is ESSENTIAL in every woman’s wardrobe……..I can tell you Jac had a closet full of them lined up in a row……They were always her go to, and she looked wonderful in them!

………………The SIMPLICITY of BLACK & WHITE……..Here Yasmeen is wearing almost the exact same outfits….just reversing the colors….A Black sweater set, with a jewel neck sleeveless sweater is worn over a white pleated skirt on the left…..and  a white sweater set with a mock neck sleeves top is over a black pleated skirt on the right………….Black AK slides and Sterling Silver AK earrings with the black patent leather belt finish both looks………When we use the word…….TIMELESS………….THIS IS WHAT WE’RE TALKING ABOUT!

………………..If I was asked to described Christy in this look, the one word that would come to mind is……..”ICONIC”…………There is nothing more modern, more timeless that a RIBBED SWEATER SET…….The JET BLACK cotton/lycra ribbed tank is paired with the LONG matching button front V-neck cardigan….all made in Italy……and  paired with LANGUID rayon/silk/lycra fluid wide leg pants in the optic white……A black patent leather wide belt cinches the waist, and simple sterling poker chip earrings finish this ultra modern look. This is the type of look that Chanel made popular in the 20s in the South of France, and it will be popular 100 years from now.

……………DANIELLA……….one of my all time favorite models……looks so comfortable and natural in this outfit… She is wearing an elongated, double breasted blazer with polished silver buttons and an OPTIC WHITE short skirt……OPTIC WHITE is a super white, and this white can not be achieved in all fabrics, such as many wools…..This fabric, used for the jacket and skirt, is a weighty rayon/silk/lycra that tailored beautifully, and could be made by the mill in the optic white I wanted…..I loved Daniella in this!………..SO CHIC!
