…………………….TAUPE & BLACK is super CHIC!…….It can be as BOLD as Black and White……but it’s  some what more subtle, and toned down……..Yasmeen and Christy at the left, are both wearing jackets made out of a CHENNILE, SILK & WOOL blend JACQUARD FLORAL  fabric that was made exclusively for me in Italy. This company was a big supplier for Armani……Nadege, in the center, is wearing a  side two button  sweater cardigan in the same jacquard pattern as the jackets….I was able to use the same yarns as the jacket for the sweater….NADEGE, at the right, is wearing a CHEVRON pattern jacket and skirt in the same Taupe and Black Chenille, Silk and Wool blend. Her Chevron jewel neck sweater in the matching Taupe and black is also in the same yarns as the jacket……Sometimes the yarns used for a woven jacket are compatible for knit machines, and some times not….I was lucky as in this case the yarns worked…….In the center photo, Nadege is wearing a short black suede side zip bootie that I previously posted from a Neiman’s catalogue….ALL of the accessories….gloves, shoe, tights and the lacquered earrings and belt were all black.

………………..THE DOUBLE ROUND LINK HOOP……..J435492……..is a Bronze earring that is available with…..STERLING SILVER plate……18 KARAT GOLD….and 18 KARAT ROSE GOLD PLATE…….It’s a modern take on a “Door Knocker”….It is made with the ELECTROFORM process, therefore it is bold but weightless.. It looks incredible on women with long or short hair…………….An earring for everyone!…..It’s available now at my LINEA JEWELRY site on QVC.

……………………BLACK & WHITE WAS ALWAYS ONE OF MY FAVORITE COLOR COMBINATIONS!…………..If I had to choose only two colors to design in…..it would always be Black and White……The HAND LOOMED  fabrics of the bold check swing coat with the funnel neck, [left], and the Double Breasted jacket with matching skirt [right], both on Nadege, were made in France…..The center white coats are a blend of angora and cashmere, fabric made in Italy….The top photo of the wrap polo coat is on Elaine. It had rows of Trapunto stitching at the hem of the coat and the sleeve….The bottom oversized blazer coat is on Nadege……….Both models are wearing them over stretch black velvet, fabric also made in Italy! The buttons are the SIGNATURE gold plate nugget buttons…..The Gold SWIRL belt on Nadege was from my AK Couture jewelry collection…….After 33 years they still look MODERN and CURRENT!

…………………J435498………is the style number of the HAMMERED HOOP….They are available on my Linea Jewelry site on QVC……The Hoops have a graduated shape, and because it is made with the ELECTROFORM process it is substantial without weight…..It is available in STERLING SILVER and STERLING with 18 KARAT GOLD PLATE..I love the hammering on these hoops which gives them a true ARTISAN HAND MADE LOOK….It’s not too big and not too small……These hoops would have been perfect with my black group of AK clothing with the nugget buttons and gold zippers…………They are CLASSIC with a TWIST……………TIMELESS!………Definitely for HOOP LOVERS!

………………….If I had to choose ONE COLOR to design in it would absolutely be…..BLACK!……..Custom GOLD NUGGET HAMMERED BUTTONS, and GOLD ZIPPERS became a strong theme on this Fall collection. I used these nugget buttons and zippers on the solid black clothes as seen here….also on bright colors and tweeds and checks that were also part of the collection…..Yasmeen and Christy, at the extreme left are wearing two different jackets, but both are double breasted and have the zipper and nugget buttons. The zipper created a double closing and kept the jacket openings neat….It was my EXCLAMATION MARK!…..The wool crepe suits are worn with a pleated skirt and a pencil skirt……Nadege and Elaine at the top center are wearing the same jacket except Nadege’s is in leather and Elaine’s is in wool crepe….They both have the “FANNY ZIPPERS”….Point of Interest…..Elizabeth Taylor wore the leather jacket on the Johnny Carson Show, and looked fabulous!…..Elaine is wearing a collarless A-Line DB coat in a cashmere wool blend, and at the right…..Nadege is wearing a wool, DB crepe dress with the same button and zipper detail…………..ANY OF THESE would still look great today on anyone!
