You’re right! The “cause” of my being removed was taken up by the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), strangely enough. That was a famous group in the ’60s. I had nothing to do with their picking up the cause, but I was told about it. I’d known of the group but certainly had no communication with them, ever. Was fortunate that I was in the spring semester of my senior year at college.

The year was 1965. How innocent all of us were then, including the Dean of Women and the administration. To think that someone could be removed for that. Things were strict then.

We could use a little more of that today…..IMHO…..how far we have fallen.

Yep! ‘Tis true. The world has become unrecognizable to those of us who have been here a few decades. Was at supper with family and friends Friday night when we learned of “Paris.” Instantly, I and the others realized that the world had once again changed into something we did not want for ourselves or our loved ones.

As someone who spent her formative years in the disciplinarian’s office for rolling up the waistband of her pleated skirt … you had me at “parochial school girl meets biker chick”!!!! Love this sweater, and I’m in for the charcoal.

Love this anecdote! I was removed from the dorm system for dressing up as a nun.
