Holy Smokes. That’s just the PERFECT, wearable red. What I (as one of the namesakes) most love about the Kate shirt is the length. It’s long enough to be worn button up and worn over jeans or pants but not so long that it adds lumpy bulk if tucked into a slim skirt. Sounds like a little detail, but it’s not! I’m guessing the navy is similar to the navy you used for the Robyn (our much adored mutual friend!)?
Hi Godmother to the “Kate” shirt. Yes, the navy is very similar. I always give the Linea WK as the color standard and hope for the best. They did a great job with the red, which is beautiful, and the navy is rich and deep.
Just hopped on to enter what I want to exclaim, and it is “Holy chili peppers!” Similar to your exclamation of “Holy Smokes.” This is some hot shirt and brings breathless responses!
Thanks Louis for the sneak peek of the red I just order this color, 2 whites and the seagreen, pale yellow but the grey is sold out so I am hoping the grey returns as well. I missed out on these before but I am catching up very quickly because these are non negotiable wardrobe essentials. I have a closet full of shirts but they need refreshing so these are perfect.
Dear luvitorleaveit…..the grey will not be returning. I am trying not to reorder old colors because what I have found out is this. Unless there is a large wait list for a color the new colors sell out and the reorder repeat colors do not [except white]. This just chokes the inventory and the the item isn’t reordered at all because of the left over inventory. So my philosophy is…when the colors sell out bring in new colors only and no repeats. So if you like them get them the first time around or they may not be there. The same goes for the jewelry, and it has worked out well. The single bar necklace had a large wait list and is returning……same with the fish pendant. If there isn’t a wait list when the item sells out there will not be a reorder.I’m happy you like the red it’s beautiful and the red and navy will probably sell out when I present them on AM Style which has a broad range of viewers.
Any chance of a black version of this very popular as well as iconic shirt in the works? I’m sorry now that I didn’t order an extra or three in that beautiful original blue, if that won’t be returning. Hard to imagine anyone not needing THAT color repeatedly as it’s such an American sportswear classic. Love the new red.
There is always a chance if it gets reordered again….However, the blue is still avail in all sizes but 3x.
Then I guess I’d better stop procrastinating & start thinking about the future when the one I have wears out, although, unlike my husband who needs endless blue shirts, I never stick leaky pens in my breast pocket.:^)
I’m like your husband…we stock up on our white and blue shirts, a pink or two and then some scattered colors and novelties.It’s always good to have more than one of any color if you really like it.
Thanks Louis I should know better by now after all these years. I am thrilled to hear the single bar necklace is returning so that I can pick up the other colors. I figured your pull on crop pants that I live and travel in on the weekends A255122 won’t be back so I just ordered the other colors that I missed while my size is available. I know I will love that red shirt I am primarily draw to vibrant colors that’s why I have so many of your printed skirts, tops and jackets from years ago.
