March “SNEAK PEEK #6”

MIDWEEKSNEAKPEEK….say that 5 times in a row….FAST. My mid week Sneak Peek is style # A222274, and is an engineered stripe sweater. The yarn is 65%rayon/35%nylon. It is the same yarn, knit and weight as my A00025 sweater, with the stripes across the upper part of the body and down the sleeves. Most women have found this yarn and weight to be extremely COOL and COMFORTABLE to wear. This sweater has a jewel neckline, a 3/4 length sleeve and is approx. 25 inches long for an XS. I would recommend ordering you normal size. There is no need to size up or down, but it’s always a good idea to check the “click here” measurements. Why do I call this stripe engineered?…… because it is designed to flatter the body. It is NOT designed to emphasize body flaws. It is an all over stripe, but the stripes across the mid section of the torso are NARROWER and TONAL…..the end result gives the effect of a solid body with stripes on the upper half of the body….but doing it this way is more interesting….more “designer”. A small but important detail…..I could have made the stripes of the sleeves go to the top, but instead I added the Hot Pink and Green caps. This makes the shoulders look broader and the waist and hips look narrower….which is always a good thing…….smoke and mirrors. There are two color combinations. The first is NAVY and has the body stripes in dark navy and a dark blue. The upper body stripes are Kelly green, White, Red and Navy. The second is BLACK and the body stripes are Black and Dark Gray. The upper body stripes are Hot Pink, light Sand, Peony Pink and black. This is a fun layering piece and works under many of the Linea jackets you may already own or are thinking about purchasing. Some of the jackets that work well with these sweaters are, A221792, the Pea jacket in Green, Ivory and Cobalt, A221805, the Peony Pink, Ivory or Chino double breasted cotton jacket, the A221808, the Ivory, Navy or Red blazer with the signature gold buttons, A22543, the new denim blazer in all colors, A222274, the Black, Ivory or Pink blazers with the signature pearl buttons. That is just a few, but there are many many more from past collections that would look great with either of these sweaters…..like….the solid trench jacket with the tie belt and the white contrast touches…….I’m sure you could come up with lots of ways to spike your wardrobe with a sweater like this…………………..enjoy, Love Louis

    Louis,
I have A00025. Purchased the Navy with off/white stripes 2-3 years ago..and I adore this sweater and fabric. It is light and cool even with the 3/4 sleeves and travels and wears so well. It glides over the body and does not cling. I bought my regular medium size..I always take it to Florida and California…as the perfect weight sweater. I am so looking forward to one of the new sweaters and green is beckoning to me… I must add, that I have never worn A00025 that a woman hasn’t said what a great sweater…the placement of the stripes is so flattering. They always comment they have never seen a sweater like it before…whose is it? Such a hip smart gorgeous piece… the new one looks like a real Gem too!

Love the way you capped the top of the sleeve to match the top stripe of the body. Smoke and mirrors are a good thing. Looks like a great sweater. Thanks for the sneak peaks…something special to look forward to.

    Hi Louis-
Love all of your sneak peeks! I’ll be getting both of these, they are so versatile.

Does the green in the navy hydranga print go with the green D/B pea jacket?

Also, I’m on waitlist for the mushroom whisper knit t-neck. Is the mushroom as pale as the ordinary grocery store mushrooms, or deeper as a shitake mushroom, or deeper still as a portoblello mushrmoom?

    Thanks in advance-
    Regards
    Judi

Dear Judi….either someone asked me this exact same question or I am answering you twice. Yes the green jacket looks good with the green in the print and even though I’m not exactly sue what the color of a shitake is….I’m picking thni9s one as the mushroom color is a med. color. I am also using a dark mushroom for coordinating pieces.

Yes, I asked the question. I couldn’t find the question or answer…don’t know what I was doing wrong.
I love mushroom colors and I hope someday you will be able to do an espresso brown and navy in the w/k.
        Thank you
        Judi

Forgot: do the colored stripes continue around the back? You didn’t show the back, so I”m wondering what that looks like.

Yes Carol…..it’s the same front and back….

Love anything with smoke and mirrors! I have the peony pink db jacket and the green pea jacket, so both will be going into my cart, for sure. I have three of the sweaters with stripes down the arms and adore that knit. Just have to keep the cats at arm’s length when I’m wearing one! I love that one will pair with the new navy jersey pants and the other with the black jersey pants. The jersey pieces are all great travel partners.

Thank you from both myself and my figure flaws.
