…………………..There is nothing more comfortable than KNIT DRESSING!………….KNIT SUITS are almost impossible to find. The only label that comes to mind who offers anything in this category is Saint John, but it would be much MUCH more costly…………..In the photos above there is the new WK ENR CARDIGAN, A273879……….and the “MILANO” KNIT WK SKIRT…..yes MILANO KNIT……The cardigan is classicly beautiful. It has a JEWEL NECKLINE, which is a little more open than a classic crew….It has contrast color borders around the neck….down the front….and at the sleeve hem. It closes with a TWO WAY ZIPPER so there are many ways you can wear it. The length of the cardigan is approx. 25 1/2 inches for the xxs. For an added bonus there are PATCH POCKETS that lay very flat and add no bulk……….The colors above in the cardigan are…………..PERFECTLY PINK with BLACK, and BLACK with IVORY. Under the cardigan/jacket… a WK tank in ivory and black. The Milano knit skirt is now avail. in BLACK…..PERFECTLY PINK and IVORY…What exactly is a MILANO KNIT? For those of you who are new to this type of stitch it was created in the sweater factories of Milano, Italy hense the name. It is also sometimes called a double knit, but that is usually a reference to knit fabrics….A Milano knit requires a special set up on knitting machines where you get a double weight of the knitted fabric. This particular knit is usually used for jackets and bottoms. Knowing that I wanted to offer the skirt in Ivory and Perfectly Pink this was the only knit I could use to assure no see through…Milano Knit gives you a more substantial fabric and is very flattering on the body concealing many body issues.You truly can not buy a better quality garment. Due to the amount of yarn used and the slow knitting time, Milano Knit garments can be very expensive. Labels like Ferragamo use the Milano stitch often…..Again, QUALITY!……..You can either wear the pieces as a matching suit or change it up with the Black and Ivory bottoms contrasting the cardigans….The NEW BLACK GAUZE WIDE LEG PANT look spectacular with these cardigans! As you can see in the photos above a slim black patent belt can be used if you chose to define the waist………For accessories I chose my 72 inch length PEARLS, J264035, in CREAM and PINK and my 72 inch JET BEADS, J284043. On the ears my JET DROP EARRING, J317115, and my OVAL PEARL EARRING, J296890, clip or pierced…………..I think these pieces are things a woman always looks for, but can never find. These are truly timeless, forever pieces. The amount of times you will wear them will pay for them over and over again……..Whether you wear them with matching skirts or contrast skirts and pants, again, like the new gauze pant, the black slim pant, or the gaucho crop pant to come, you will always be well turned out….sophisticated and chic…………………….enjoy……….. much Love……………Louis

I do have a question for you. I love how you styled Amanda in your most recent show and purchased her outfit. She was wearing the perfectly pink WK Milano skirt, the pale pink crepe gauze tank and frosted bead necklace. I was trying to decide what to wear with the outfit for those times when I want/need to cover my arms. Would this new perfectly pink cardigan/jacket be your recommendation? Or would you suggest another option?

Dear Michelle….I tried them together and the shapes do work together, but you should know that the tunic is slightly longer.The little peek out is very acceptable. Wearing the cardigan open, which you should do anyway, it really looks good. The black bands really do pop with all of the pink so besides the pink necklace you may want to consider changing it up sometimes with my black jet pieces…..you may own some jet already. This is what is avail in the jet….J284043, the 72 inch necklace, J291535 the spaced jet bead necklace [this is on clearance and is a great buy. This can be mixed with the 72 inch necklace]. J291536 is a jet bead stretch bracelet. There is also a jet drop earring that looks great too [forgot to get the A#]. For a less dressy look the J329558, black barrel bead and earring set would look good too. Since the cardigan does have the black banding black shoes and bag would work well…..A small shoulder bag with a chain strap a la Chanel or a clutch would look great….A sling back or delicate pump may be the easiest to find.

Is this knit similar to the St. John knits? They are a heavy knit as well. This is just stunning and even though I retired, I must look good.
Dear Sharon….my mother used to live in St. John pencil skirts, and all I remember is they were meaty and could almost stand on their own! I can’t say if the WK Milano skirt is as heavy, but it certainly is heavy enough for year round wear.

Since I have all your pearls and the black jet, I will have to get a couple of these. I’m so pleased with the longer length.I do pants – rarely skirts. But, I’m thinking I may need to try the black skirt for these. The only other black skirt I have is your ENR pencil skirt with the bit of wool in it.
