“Sneak Peek #4” is the long awaited “SHRUG”, A223660. It is in all reality a cropped one button cardigan, [18 inches for the xs], made in my WHISPER KNIT! Why is this an ESSENTIAL piece…..because it serves many functions and can be worn ALL YEAR long. This is that one piece that will solve many problems and the one piece you will want in a zillion colors!
The colors are BLACK, REEF GREEN and VIOLET. The design is simple…… the proportions are perfect. It has a slight shape so it doesn’t look boxy. It has a jewel neckline and a single button closure. What I think makes this little piece wonderful is ….it is made in my EVERY NEED RIB construction, which gives the sweater BODY to maintain its SHAPE. Study the photos above and you will discover many ways to wear it…..and, I’m sure, you will come up with many more. I have it shown over tank tops with a myriad of bottoms…..My new jersey pull-on pant or my pebble crepe pull-on pant give a wonderful languid look [last years crop P.C. would look great too]….. my pebble crepe skirts…either the straight long one or the new fuller skirt, coming this month, makes for a dressier outfit……I especially love it worn over the “ROBYN” shirt and a pair of my new crop cotton sateen pants [the KATE works too]….some ballet flats will complete the look…..come fall….wear the shirt and shrug with a long skirt and boots or a pair of heather gray pants….very CHIC. Of course, the reason I designed this piece was to go over ALL OF YOU SLEEVELESS TOPS AND DRESSES. There is no reason any more for you to pass a great looking sleeveless piece because you don’t want to show you upper arms! One more thing….there are two photos that show the “SHRUG” over the matching TANK MAXI DRESS in a wonderful cotton/span knit…..the same quality as many of my T-shirts and leggings….only lighter weight……”sneak peek” to come. I know you will really enjoy this piece and only wish it came in more colors! This is definitely a problem solver………..enjoy, Love Louis
Would the violet blend with the purple boho? Thanks agaIn for the sneak peeks.
Dear Carol.
The violet of the shrug is slightly more blue than the purple boho. If you separated the colors …..say by wearing a white tank that came below the shrug….I think it will work….as long as they aren’t right next to one another.
Hi Louis,
Love your clothes! My only complaint is your shows are on usually during the day and although I record them, the items I want always sell out. 🙁 Love the jewelry as well, very couture. Please make some business outfits/separates for the summer months…so very hard to find in the traditional stores.
The sweater is a home run, but am I the only one noticing the turquoise necklace?! The way it sets off that purple color – wow.
Add it to my list, please, and tell the elves to hurry…
You had me at “very needle rib.”
“EVERY needle rib” LOL
I’m dyslexic lol
You too…..
Perfect! Love it! Got to have it!
Good afternoon Louis!
As expected, this shrug looks wonderful!! I want to know if the violet shrug is an exact or close to tonal color match on the ‘Rita Hayworth’ dress you had last year? That dress was item# A199795. I’ll be in for two of the colors if my eyes aren’t deceiving me.
Regards to Jac,
Chris
Dear Chris, I no longer have that dress in the purple color so I can’t check it out….sorry……I will have a new “Marilyn”, “Ava” or “Lana” dress in May. I can’t decide what to name it….but it’s a beauty!
Thanks for your quick response!! You are the best! XOX
Can’t wait for the dress! I know it will be a beauty even though I haven’t seen it yet cause I have worn my Rita Hayworth dresses too death-well I can’t really say death because they have washed and worn like iron…
Dear Louis, This is a keeper. I must have one in every color! Thanks for all your classy designs. I never want to wear sleeveless dresses so now I’ll have the perfect coverup. Keep up the sneak peeks. Judy
Thank you for the sneak peek…it is so much chicer than any other shrug I have seen. This is the difference between your work and others…this is impeccable. It is interesting when the eye sees something that it likes, and the feeling one gets when your eye likes what it sees. A beautifully design piece brings out such a visceral response…I LOVE IT! :))
