These are the types of sweaters you all want and can never find, and when you do find one, mostly in catalogs, when you receive them they are never quite right. How could this go wrong? It’s made in the Whisper Knit in the Every Needle Rib, and it has a classic long sleeve, jewel neck body [slightly more open then a crew neck]. A perfect combination….The Winter White, Scarlet Red, Espresso, and Black are all Linea Essential colors and will, at some point, be repeated in the future…..This is what a “classic” sweater is all about….A timeless garment that can be worn for any occasion, anywhere, any time of day or season…….The perfect stand alone or layering piece. Under jackets of all fabrics, under the PONCHO…..which can be worn with jeans as well as a SEQUIN skirt. This will become a work horse for you….I have read some of you have already bought doubles….A wise move because you never know if something will be reordered or not…….The fit is easy with a slight shape to keep it from looking boxy. For me the length is perfect. I know some of you taller women were fearful that it would be too short. You tried it anyway, and have found your fears were unwarranted…..The length worked perfectly for you TOO……This is a garment that can take the simplest accessories or be piled with many accessories for a dramatic effect…..Some have inquired if this WK is heavier then my usual WK. The answer is I only use two qualities of WK……the original weight, which this is, or the med. weight [a little lighter], which the V-neck cardigan is……So, the answer is no….this is like every other WK sweater. That said, sometimes a dark deep color like black, or espresso, or a color that needs a lot of dye like Scarlet Red, can feel heavier due to the absorption of the dye, but the difference in feel should be minimal………For someone special who you have to get two presents for….this sweater and a piece of Linea Jewelry would be ideal…..On its’ own it’s a jewel of a present! Louis, I’m another tall convert to this perfect classic! The length of the body and arms works great for me, and I love, love, love the neckline! I have three colors and especially look great in the expresso, which brings out the blue of my eyes and the shine of my blond hair. Hoping for more colors next year and more tops in expresso.
Just got this in medium in the white and it fits beautifully and feels wonderful! I’ve already ordered it again in the red and debating between the black or the brown. This is truly a classic piece and can easily go with pants or a skirt. You can dress it up or be casual…whatever you desire or need. Please consider making this in other colors such as navy, camel, medium blue, etc. No one should hesitate getting this sweater! Thank you so much for another classic piece!
I was one who initially didn’t order because the turtleneck was short on me in the sleeves and torso. After reading that it worked for others, I gave it a try in the winter white and espresso. It fits! Now I’m wishing I had ordered the black too while it was buy more, save more.
A great basic. Hope it comes back in more colors. Would love to see it come back in hunter green and blackberry. Can’t have enough blackberry. I ordered the blackberry Shetland even though I won’t get that much wear out of it in Florida.
Wearing the winter white with jeans today, and the sage suede anorak, Marc Fisher khaki green shoe boots. So simple yet chic. Love it!

I was one of the “fearful talls” who thought it might not work, but I found the length, as well as the fabric and fit, to be PERFECT! I ordered all four colors. As Goldie said, it’s a classic basic. Hope they reorder it in navy, charcoal grey, alabaster, camel…For some items, you just never know, unless you try it. Glad I did!
Returning to basics is a fantastically wonderful experience with this extraordinary top. So happy to be offered a classic look once again (besides the Linea turtleneck).
