This color looks so chic, yet so unexpected in this uniform world of black. A few years back when you sold the cobalt gab trousers I bought a pair specifically to wear with black jackets and sweaters, then I pulled out a beautiful zebra print shirt you’d done way back in real silk gauze & paired them with a slew of Mardi Gras beads for a MG party we went to. It looked sensational, & boy, did I get props from THAT partyin’ crowd! I’ll be getting this gauze version for summer, & now I have the new MG necklace to replace my old “throw me somethin’, Mister!” beads. And that new sea glass necklace over a black T with these new pants won’t look too shabby, either. These are exactly the kind of clothes one wants for summer, at least this “one”.
April,
I went for a pair of the Royal Blue myself. So hoping they fit me well (I am a most difficult fit). This pant and matching top have stirred my heart and desires.
It’s a great color with Gold or Silver jewelry
Goldie,
That’s your color, and with that gold cuff you bought, totally smashing. Back in the 80’s when we were in Baltimore at JHU where Dick was working, I had a royal blue silk tunic & matching flowing pants that I paired with a matte gold clamper cuff, matte gold dollar coin size circles necklace, & matte gold 3 ” long drop earrings for a BSO New Year’s Eve show that was being broadcast live via the WJHU radio station, so it was dressy, even for we staffers. Even in THAT crowd of monied Baltimore phong phongs (I’m quoting Joan here, lol)it made a bit of a splash, I can tell you. You’re going to look just fab in that color.
Thank you, April.
[I have history in Baltimore, too. First husband from there. And, I was baptized at the Greek Orthodox cathedral in Baltimore. My favorite uncle graduated from JHU and has endowed a chair there.]
Your New Year’s Eve outfit from back in the ’80s sounds absolutely sublime.
