“JUNE SNEAK PEEK #1”

As many of you have already guessed, and some have already purchased and received!…….Sneak Peek #1,  A201016, is the Leopard print cotton sateen reorder blazer. The new color is………YELLOW/BLACK. The yellow in the photo is a little paler than the actual color. I would say it is a true lemon yellow………a great little pick me up. All of the colors are back…..the neutral SAGE and TAUPE, the TURQUOISE and the LAVENDER……and the bold WHITE/BLACK……… Look closely, and under the new yellow jacket I have layered the new “candy box” sweater in the black. I think that sweater really looks great with any of the Leopard jackets. I like the aggressiveness of the print with the femininity of the sweater……..it’s a terrific combination and makes a wonderful creative statement. Of course, any of my black skirts will look great…. the short double flounce or the new short tiered skirt with the pleated border both work and are light and breezy……and have wonderful movement. They are special skirts and certainly take the  total “look” up  a few notches. For long skirts, either of the pebble crepe skirts, the long slim or the two tiered gathered skirt, look terrific, and of course the “old” standby…..the BOHO! Under the sage jacket I have layered the SAGE SAFARI GEORGETTE SHIRT with a BLACK TANK…..[I LOVE the black tank under the sage shirt….you don’t always have to wear the matching sage tank]…..a black belt with a white pencil skirt gives just the right punctuation! With the Lavender jacket I have kept it simple with a white tank …..it could also  be the white Kate shirt or my Faux de Chine shirt, and a black pencil skirt. Do not be afraid to add a THIRD accent color with your accessories…..something BOLD……..TURQUOISE or RED always work with lavender….ORANGE and LIME too. Under the taupe I have the latte jersey top which also comes in BLACK. This is another INTERESTING layering piece…….and this top and the “candy box” sweater look wonderful when the jacket comes off! I have the latte top paired with the black pebble crepe two tiered long skirt. Any white or ivory bottom will work…..your sage bottoms will work with the sage and of course your white, black, gray and indigo jeans will all give you the casual look you sometimes need. Also, any pant silhouette will work…..from walking shorts , Capri pants, crops to ankle length….from  long slim pants to long fluid pants…. as my pull-on jersey pants…..which are nice and light weight for the summer. There is no guess work here….if you are coming back for a second or third or fourth color…..you know your size. If this is your first Leopard jacket I would suggest going with your regular size……unless the Linea Ladies have other suggestions. Always read the “click here measurements”. In this particular case, you have the advantage of reading all of the reviews the women have so graciously written to help you make an educated purchase………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

This is a timeless and sophisticated animal print that will NEVER go out of style……..you will have years of enjoyment……so………ENJOY!!……much Love, Louis

    Dear Louis,
Thanks so much for your gorgeous clothes. Again, I am asking you to please bring back your silk windowpane jacket/shirt. The fabric is amazing and even if you made it in a plain silk color, it would be fabulous. Indeed, I would be willing to pay more because the fit is perfection!
    Thank you!

Louis, you are my favorite. I am one well dressed lady, despite being a size 2X. My co-workers constantly ooh and ah over my clothing. It is possible to be big, not sloppy, and fashionable. I bought other clothing from QVC and your clothing. I returned everything else but yours. I decided to just save my money from now on and wait until you have new stuff. I bought the flowered maxi skirts; I already had a coral jacket to match and I’m making a turquoise one. I did have to shorten the skirts as I’m only 5’2″. I cut about 2″ below the waistband and took some off the top tier and sewed it back, then shortened the lowest ruffle. I’m always trying to figure out how to shorten things in a way that preserves the integrity of the design. The tie-dye jacket is beautiful, no alterations needed because of the short sleeves. I also bought the apricot sweater and skirt, and the black skirt. Many many compliments on that. And the peacock and lavender dresses. I just love your tailoring, structure and fit. You know how to dress a woman’s body and recognize that no matter what size or age, we all want to look good. Thank you.

I’ve already received the yellow and love it! It makes wearing black in the summer so cheerful. I’ve been coveting the taupe/black forever, and now I’ve ordered that one, too. I already had the lavender. I never leave the house without a jacket. It’s the starting point of every outfit I put together.

I’m so happy with all the new spring/summer pieces I’ve purchased. Can’t wait to see what else you have up your sleeve! Let me know where I can get the job of the maid who gets free $4000 suits. I WILL work for clothes!

I so enjoy the MANY styling options you give us. I remember buying the taupe/black blazer when I saw your dear Jac wearing it over the black ‘Rita Hayworth’ dress. I believe the discussion was whether or not the dress and blazer could be worn to a late afternoon/evening wedding. As lovely as that looks is, the blazer is just as wonderful with a tank top and jeans. Thank you for showing us how to extend the use of our Linea items. To me, that is the sign of a classic item.

Dear Rae…..I’m always thinking of ways to give the clothes many of you already own, fresh and new ways to wear them….adding a few new things…..so they never get tired or feel like you are done with them…….an extended life.I truly believe that’s what makes my collection different from all the others. Even with expensive designer lines…….once they are finished with the collection, it’s on to something totally different, almost making the previous season obsolete. That is not the customer I design for anymore……my previous “designer customer” could afford to wear a $4000 suit one season and then give it to her maid, because she wouldn’t want to be seen in the “same suit” the next season. How many of us can live that way?…..and who wants too??

I came back for a 2nd jacket- had the taupe/black and went for the bold white/black jacket! In certain restaurants, the A/C is set on North Pole setting and a jacket like this is perfect to put on and still look put together. I love the white/black and I like to pair white and black with a red item.
    Stay dry this weekend.

I can see why this jacket is so successful-it’s so versatile! A few years back you showed the lavander jacket with the white eyelet paisely skirt and it’s one of my favorite looks. The sage came to me a couple of months ago. The great thing about Linea is having so many ways to put things together. Looking at your pictures, I see many things I already have that will work with the jackets!

Dear Celia……I want to make it easier to build a beautiful and pulled together wardrobe for all of you by consciously creating things from one season to the next that will work together in new and interesting ways…… so your clothes never seem tired or boring. I forgot about the white eyelet skirt, one of Jac’s favorites. She hasn’t taken it out of storage yet.

I luv the lining..cotton batiste! I remember you showed that skirt with the lavander jacket and your purple tank with the pleats on Diana. I knew I had to have the whole sha-bang. The straw hat was perfect! She looked adorable. Jac has good taste, of course!
