Happy Labor Day

Can you believe it!…..The summer is over!!! I know it’s not officially over, but with Labor Day and September here it’s official for me. Even the temperatures feel like fall here in CT. I love the fall season, but for some reason I can’t explain, this year I am lamenting the end of summer. It was just too quick, and the days seem to wiz by in a blur. I feel like I want to hold onto summer. I am not looking forward to a winter of snow, and cabin fever……………..Labor Day is here and it is a beautiful day. I hope everyone has a safe and happy day. Keep praying for the people of Texas. They will have a long road of frustration and anger, and sadness ahead. We must do all in our power, even if all we can give are our prayers. Knowing that there are still many people who have not recovered from Super Storm Sandy, makes me worry even more for these people. Today, Labor Day takes on a new meaning. There is much labor to be done, and many miles to go……………………………….

…………………………………much Love………….Louis and Jac

Yesterday was a sweet/sad/happy day. I waived good-by to the last carload of grandchildren with a tear in my eye. It was time to do dishes, wash sheets, swim laps. Then, wait for it-…it was time for Nana to play with her new beads! The big surprises are that the alabaster beads go with just about everything! And the brights are surprisingly good with dark brown! This is going to be fun. Looking beyond myself, I am praying that the new storm will turn and turn quickly. Irma, get away from land! What we have in Texas is quite enough misery thank you.

So perfectly said as always, Louis. Our thoughts and prayers are with those still reeling from Harvey and also those in the path of Irma—hopefully not us who live on the beautiful Chesapeake Bay in southern Virginia.
Today my daughter and her family came over for a cookout, and I modeled for my daughter all the Linea clothing and jewelry I am taking on my high school reunion trip later this week (trapeze, Y bar, and fish necklaces, slim ankle pants, whisper knits, feather jersey, high/low tunic, pebble crepe, snap front tunic and more!). She was WOWED by every outfit and could not pick a favorite!!!! 🙂

Louis, your words were thoughtful, heartfelt and well-said. Hope you are enjoying a pleasant holiday with Jac, and “your girls”.

Happy Labor Day to you, Jac, and the girls! Yes, the older I get the faster the days and months fly by! I love the fall though with the changing colors of leaves, the crisp mornings and evenings that are sweater and jacket weather, and pumpkin spice everything. I, too, am praying for the people affected by the flood waters in Houston and surrounding areas. While we’ve never been through a flood, we have been much too close to tornadoes here in Tennessee; but I can’t imagine what these people are going through with flood waters taking lives and destroying homes, businesses, and cars. All of us need to help in whatever way possible for their recovery which will take quite some time.

I worry about the pets affected by Harvey. Don’t forget to support animal shelters there. Louis can you post photos of the floral shirts coming.? I bought all three of the faceted bead necklaces so I could match them.

I will Carol….all in good time. I’m working on everything for the next shows. They are already pictured with the sneak peeks of the necklaces

    Dear Louis,
Happy Labor Day to you and Jacque.
    Praying for Houston.
We are a bit nervous here in N.C. with Irma approaching, but today is a beautiful warm day.
I pretty much bought one or two of everything you offered and a few jewelry items on waitlist.
I love them all. . . a magnificent presentation of fashion and jewelry. Thank you!

Happy Labor Day to you and Jac. I’m on SE coastal NC and hoping Irma decides to turn away. Stores all have generators displayed.

Good morning Louis and Happy Labor Day to you and Jac.
A last hurrah on the beach in Belle Harbor with friends. Remembering what they went thru with Sandy and thinking of the people in Texas.
Also looking forward to the Fall season with you and Jac.
Enjoy this beautiful day, thank you and see you soon.

    Dear Louis,
I love the fall weather and it is a beautiful day here in Boston.
Houston is on my heart as I have two relatives in Texas. They were spared damage but when I think of them, I’m reminded to thank God that they were spared and pray for those who weren’t.
Let me take another opportunity to thank you for the beautiful clothes and jewelry you provide for us. May God continue to richly bless you and Jac in all areas of your lives.
All the best to you and yours,
    Ruth

    Hi Bernadette,
Thanks for letting us all know how you are doing. Everyone here is thinking of you all daily and praying for you and your neighbors and fellow Texans and those also in Louisiana. We’re sending down all we can to help lighten the load and will be with you in spirit. Take care!
    Dear Louis

    Hi Louis,

I too am excited for fall to arrive. It is my favorite time of year! I miss the changing of the leaves. We go from green to brown here in Texas.

Thank you so very much for your thoughts and prayers. People I work with lost everything. Their homes and apartments were flooded up to the second story. My DH is in the home renovation business. The company he works for is extremely busy to say the least. They are all so exhausted and it is just beginning. There are areas that are still flooded and the water isn’t expected to recede for 15 more days. We still have a few sections of the beltway that are flooded up to the overpass. I think that area has to be at least 20 feet or higher.

Thank you again for your thoughts and prayers.
I hope you, Jac, and the girls are out having fun in the cool air. Send some our way!!!

    We are staying HoustonStrong!!! 😀😀😀

Anxiously awaiting your next sneak peeks (if for anything a bit of sense of normalcy)
    Bernadette
