………………………As the Holiday seasons approach I thought a new piece to to dress up the festivities would be a nice present………I haven’t done a true Holiday piece in some time, and I convinced the buyers it was over time to offer one……I hope you like it…………..This new “Swing Shirt/Jacket” is made in a brand new fabric that I am very excited about…….It is a “STRETCH” SHANTUNG, and it LOOKS and FEELS like SILK….The fabric has the characteristic “slubs” as a real shantung fabric would……It has it’s luminous quality that sets this fabric apart….IT GLOWS……….You will see how beautiful the fabric looks when you wear it out in the evening to all your Holiday events…..Evening light does its’ magic!………The sizing is XXS though 3X. The jacket is approx 32 inches long for the XS……It is unlined so the weight is perfect to wear with nothing under it…….The WING COLLAR frames the face beautifully. It has diagonal seams, front and back, from the shoulder down to the hem…..following the sweep of the body. There are inseam pockets. The back has beautiful drapes as you can see in the upper photo to the left. These drapes are called “CONES”………This piece is totally un-constructed…..no lining, and no shoulder pads……The buttons are covered in the Shantung fabric so there are no distractions from your accessories……..The color is…………………….SCARLET RED……………..I have chosen the Scarlet Red WK tunic tank, A287609, and the Scarlet Red WK skirt, A253411…….for that “Lady in Red” look, however, you can mix it with whatever colors you like……..Now, you may be thinking Christmas when you look at this jacket…..but change gears and picture it with a white tank and navy pants for the 4th of July……………It is definitely light enough to wear all year long!………….To accessorize I mixed the Gold Etruscan necklace with the new RED and GOLD seed bead necklace coming this MAY………This shirt/jacket will be on air this coming Friday, November 3rd, on the Morning Show which starts at 7:00am……Also, on that show I will be presenting the new SUPER PONTE SLIM PANT, A297868. Years ago you created a belted faux shantung silk jacket in an olive and a blue shade. I’m sure you remember it. Is this fabric the same as this previous jacket? It really was a terrific fabric.
Dear Chris….I remember the jacket. It was a beauty, but I no longer have the samples so I can’t compare the fabrics. All I can say is this fabric IMHO is beautiful. I’m sure you will agree.
I have both that jacket in the blue as well as the dress you designed in the same fabric in olive that I actually just recently wore to a wedding. That is a beautiful fabric, looks for all the world like the real deal, & I’ll be glad to add another piece to my wardrobe.
Louis, can you tell us how the sleeves fit? Can they be rolled or pushed up? Are they fitted like a blouse or looser like a jacket? Thanks! Love all the colors.
They are looser like a jacket. Since it is unlined the sleeves can be rolled up, but if you need them shorter they are easily shortened

Wow! Louis, you are so full of sweet sweet surprises. Christmas party ready, check. Romantic dinner with hubby, check. This is definitely a head turner. I must say I love the attention your clothes bring to the party……Never wore much red before, now I’m calling “scarlet red”, “GOTTA HAVE IT RED” This blonde thanks you, now the anxiety begins to snatch it when it becomes available. So appreciate that I have the scarlet red skirt and tank already. Already dreaming about what shoes to wear with this outfit, I think maybe some black suede dorsays. Hope to see Jac model this, healing prayers….

Nancy, I think you’re right about “gotta have it red” even for those of us blondes who don’t do all red. I’m in that camp, but I’m so drawn to this color and life is short. Might as well live it up a little! I just picked up the red WK skirt & tank…and I’ll be stalking this gorgeous jacket right along with you next week!
