For the winter wear the blouse with a long black skirt and boots. or a short black skirt and opaque tights and pumps or shoe boots….Throw on your leather jacket for some edge!..For early spring a pair of gauze pants……wide leg, straight leg or slim leg……for summer…..Carpi and crop pants or shorts, [for my fashion forward fashionistas where the black shorts with heels or slides with a tea cup heel…..tres chic]… or your black boho and sandals…………..and that’s just the possibilities with black bottoms…………Now pull out all of your color bottoms that work with the print…..jeans, shorts, skirts, crops…..you name it….it will all look wonderful……..It isn’t always easy to find a light weight “sleeved” blouse to wear in the warmer months……..or…..just wear it with your favorite white pant…..maybe your Linea Leisure pant or your new ivory trouser that goes with your ivory blazer [try the blouse under the blazer. I also ordered this black floral top the day it was posted. The print is so Euro looking and vibrant. Some other prints on the Q look so old lady but this one looks like money. I love the drama of the sleeves. If I have to shorten, no big deal, I have two little Italian tailors who are excellent. My only concern is fit because there is no stretch. I ordered based on fit guide so wish me luck!
Thank you so much for this fun and exotic print. I have last Fall’s offering in all 3 colors but this time the black background and the amazing jewel-toned floral spoke most strongly to me. FYI, for those not interested in sewing/tailoring, the old sleeve guards/cuffs of old work very nicely for those LL preferring/needing a shorter sleeve while not altering the overall treatment. XO
I ordered the black the day it was posted…I was hoping that I could resist the alabaster but I just had to have both. I have most all of your prints…I hope the black will ship today… These sleeves if too long is an easy sew!!!! I shortened 2 others of yours and so easy to do. If one does not have a sewing machine then cleaners a great option….THANK YOU for your designs…
Life is a carnival, & nothing but black & white & grey in one’s closet (mine) just doesn’t cut it. I think this is a stunning print, now that I can see it up closely, & that double flounce on the sleeves is just pure fun, something that seems in short supply these days. I already have your black gauze pants, so I’m all set, but also some violet jeans that this will look smashing with. And, of course, ALL the “carnival” beads. Now I guess I’ll need to throw a party.
