I am a Linea voice from the past. Health challenges have dominated recent years and I have missed so much. For some reason, tonight I decided to go to your blog and catch up on your posts. I was shocked to read of your loss and knew I must write. I am so sorry. As you mentioned in one of your very personal posts, a great closeness has evolved between the Linea ladies and you and Jac. Even though I was not as regular a communicator as many other ladies, I felt that closeness, have reacted to your posts with tears, and now feel a great sadness. In your words and sharing, it is obvious that you found your soul mate and that is a gift that can never be lost. As a woman of faith, I sincerely believe that you and Jac will be reunited and that in the interim she will continue to use signs to “speak” to you. In the “noise” of our world, allow yourself some time of silence, perhaps sitting in that bedroom chair, and find comfort in your memories, Jac’s writings and signs, and the strength of the Lord. Please continue to have a traveling companion as much as possible. The first completely solo trip may be rough and taking care of yourself is very important. Give yourself time.
Dear Rochelle…..it’s very difficult to find someone who can travel with me. Everyone has very busy lives. It’s not the driving I mind so much……Jac is always with me….What upsets me is the people coming up to me extending their condolences. I know they all mean well, but that face to face confrontation can be overwhelming. Then there are those who say nothing, either because they don’t know, or don’t want to bother me or just don’t know what to say. It can all be very depressing. I guess with time, at least this will ease and stop. I have driven to QVC many times by myself when Jac wasn’t well. The big difference is now I have no one to come home to.
Louis, God speed! Yes, in time it will stop. Hopefully, you will, again, not have any call ins because this, too, would be most difficult. You will be with your models at 6:00AM which will be good because you, all, shared your pain on your first show. It will be the 7:00AM and 10:00AM that will be most difficult. Do you think AAron would be able to go out to dinner with you, once you arrive home? At least, you would be able to discuss the shows with her since she is a little familiar.
