Since We are leaving for Europe, I thought I’d send you my FIRST SEPTEMBER SNEAK PEEK! so you won’t have to go through total withdrawal until my return. I’m in a vacation, relaxed frame of mind and I wanted the sneak peek to reflect that mood too. This is A228340, my “Relaxed” cardigan. It is 60% cotton and 40%Rayon, and is approx 23 inches long for the size XS……….When you look at this sweater think…..”Anthropology” …..the store. The trim on the sweater tells the WHOLE STORY…..it is a WASHED VELVET RIBBON! The look is some what “funky”. This is not supposed to look “pristine and perfect!” It took a lot of trial and error for the ribbon to look this way. It is meant to be PUCKERED and a little FADED….as if you have washed it a zillion times….RELAXED, CASUAL….REAL weekend wear. I have basically shown it in the photos above with JEANS to stress the point……but….there are many ways to put the look together….the bottom you choose will make the difference in the total look…..some alternatives to jeans are: my gray or taupe heather “sweat pant”, my spruce green Boho skirt….for work, trousers or one of my knit pencil skirts, tights and pumps or boots.I know you ladies will think of many many ways to put it together. Don’t be afraid of putting unusual colors with these cardigans….a LIME tank or CHARTREUSE sweater under the TEAL……. RED under the MAGENTA…… PUMPKIN or GOLDEN YELLOW under the spruce….Have FUN!
The colors are…………. TEAL with GREY ribbon………….SPRUCE with AQUAMARINE ribbon……………MAGENTA with ORCHID ribbon. In the photos above I have layered the sweaters with, from left to right, the WHITE ROBYN SHIRT, the LAVENDER TANK, A221797 and the new IVORY cashmere blend turtle neck. Remember the idea is… r e l a x e d…….This is young, or should I say ageless….a high school girl as well as a great grandmother will love this sweater. It also has tiny candy buttons…..if your sweater is like the ones I got…..I guarantee some button hole threads!….believe me I try………..what can I do??????????

Dear Judy…..I am not sure when the sweater is being sold. I thought it was going to be on my Sept 10th show, but it is not on my preliminary script? Sometimes they hold items for other shows like the “Morning Show”. I will have to find out from my buyer after the Holiday and let you know.

Dear Judy, don’t waist your time. New items will not be posted until midnight before the show, and as I said this sweater isn’t scripted in the show????, so I don’t know when they are planning to show it…..but it definitely won’t be before the 10th
I am looking forward to this sweater. Unfortunately, unless QVC fixes the problem with its Size Chart feature, lots of sales will be lost due to the inability to scroll down to the smaller sizes. Is there anything you can to about this, Louis?
I will forward your message to my buyer. That’s about all I have the power to do. Let’s hope it helps the situation. She will have to pass it off to someone else, because it’s not her department. We shall see if the ball gets dropped or not.
P.S. The sweater isn’t listed yet so maybe they will have the info you need???
Louis, I am happy to report that the scroll feature on the QVC size chart has been fixed! Maybe you have more influence than you know. I am going for your purple suede jacket….while waiting for the sweater to post. Thanks for your help with this issue.

Looks like you grabbed it out of your daughter’s closet, threw it around your shoulders and ran out the door. I can see it with my faded glory jeans, my distressed jeans, my lug sole flat boots and a colorful scarf bunched around my neck. Cute, cute, cute, Louis. And really out of the box for you!

Will the magenta cardi go with these pieces that I bought last year: purple Tneck, purple velvet skirt, purple faux wrap silky blouse? Or the cassis pucker blouse?
I’ve already spent a lot of time thinking about September’s offerings, and haven’t received everything from the last show yet! I’m planning on buying multiples of the whisper knit pants to go with last year’s, and this year’s whisper knits.
I’ll have to answer this when I get back….plenty of time. I actually see them worn over anything…nothing matching….. everything a little off….handed.

I like the idea of shabby chic. I see this with a print skirt–like the paisley boho or the paisley fish tail skirt. Thanks for giving us our much needed fix! It’s a gold medal winner.
