A beautiful subtle color that has the look of pressed flowers……Another of Jac’s favorite flowers are the LILACS….We couldn’t have enough Lilac bushes as far as Jac was concerned. As soon as the bushes along the driveway bloomed, Jac would go out and smell them at every opportunity. Every time Jac parked her car she would stop to smell the Lilacs. I know I have mentioned it before that Jac would not allow me to cut a single flower to bring into the house for her. She didn’t want her bushes hurt in any way. Lilacs are special flowers. They bloom in profusion, and fill the air with their wonderful scent, but they are also very fragile and their season is short……The flowers have a short life, but a glorious one!………Then you have to patiently wait another year to enjoy their blossoms again…..Many have tried to capture the beautiful scent of Lilacs in perfume, but no one can put Mother Nature successfully in a bottle…….My Lilac bushes are starting to bud right now…..They fill me with sweet memories…..This spring, as soon as the weather gets warmer, I plan to plant two more bushes on the other side of the drive way, and maybe along the fence on the inside yard where the girls run and play……. I wonder what they have done to the place. When Jac and i were there last June…..it’s hard to believe we were there last June and Jac was feeling so good……we saw the manager and he told us they were doing some major renovations…They were getting rid of “Blue” the breakfast and lunch restaurant off the beach and putting in more villas. Didn’t like that….Also, they were changing the main pavilion where my favorite huge Green Patina Gold hanging fixtures were….didn’t like that either. He did say they were going to change where the pool was located, not sure where, but no one used it where it was…..stuck in the back of “Blue”. I will be curious to see what they have done, but it will have to be in photos, because I could never go back there without Jac.

I have so many safari shirts, I have lost count. I recently picked up the gorgeous wine and olive. Just wore the olive yesterday. I thought there couldn’t possibly be any more colors for you to come out with that I need. Wrong! When I heard the names of the new colors, I thought I’d need the lilac mist, maybe the caneel blue, but probably not the khaki as such colors are tricky for me (blonde with light complexion).
Now that I see pics, I know I need the beautiful lilac and blue, but I might get the khaki too! It doesn’t look too yellow or pale. Thank you for the sneak peeks!!
P.S. Wore the new wildflower rhubarb top today and got lots of compliments. I felt like a model. 😊
