……………………..Our first official days at QVC were perfect…..The photos at the left are Jen, Chantal, Brenda, and Amy, on one of the many sets at QVC, selling the blouse with the handkerchief hem. The photos at the right are Jen in our Green Room getting ready….. Jen was under the impression that I would be out there with her so she was a little surprised when I told her “you’re on your own kid!”. As she said “Baptism with Fire”…..LOL……She did an incredible job. She is naturally poised, soft spoken, and confident…..These are three major characteristics I was looking for in my Brand Ambassador and Jennifer has them in spades…..and she looks great in the clothes! We, my Linea family, and the QVC family are all so happy to welcome Jen into the fold………….I look forward to many years working together………I know in my heart my Jac made this happen, and I know she is very happy!……………………..much Love…………………………Louis
Dearest Louis, it was so nice to see you relaxed, laughing and even joking a bit. Your step seems lighter, your eyes even have a touch of the old twinkle. Having some of the onorous duties relieved/less weight on your shoulders is surely helping and what a delight to watch both you and Jen.
Jen is refreshing, well versed on the Linea difference, attention to details in her descriptions and a true love of your creations. Perhaps she may model so sneak peeks for us, as in days of old? Louie, you have always benefited from the woman’s perspective, it translates so well in your practical yet classy and timeless fashions. Louis, Jennifer is a wonderful Brand Ambassador for Linea. She did a great job and you looked more relaxed. She looks fabulous in your clothes and jewelry. Jennifer is , as you said, poised, soft spoken , classy and she also has great hair. Fun shows, I am still awaiting delivery of my goodies.

Brava Bella!! What a delightful first appearance! I had to chuckle, though. Your “Baptism by Fire” reminded me of my second day as a student teacher in Dallas. The first day my supervising teacher had me do a small piece on the Elgin Marbles to accompany the study of a Keats poem. On the second day, she walked into the first period class, handed me the lesson plan for the day, then walked out of the room, not to return until the end of the day! I’m sure Louis had full confidence that you would do brilliantly as indeed you did! Congratulations!

I missed the shows because of work but had ordered as much as I could ahead of time. Went back and watched the videos and saw Jennifer’s presentation. Great job! Her demeanor and on camera presence are perfect. Got the information about the pieces out there with real class. Such a good pace. No frantic sideshow hawking. A real pleasure to watch. How wonderful your show yesterday afternoon was, it was delightful seeing your “old self” during this time…..laughing, engaged, even looking lighter on your feet, if that makes since. Even your face looked relaxed and the sad tightness around your eyes seemed to disappear…. I’m sure Jac was watching and thinking”my Louie”, as we often heard her call you, “is going to be okay!” I hope you don’t find me presumptuous for putting words in her mouth; we all just care for you so much and I, speaking for myself, just really, really miss her too. Oh Dodie….My eyes welled up…..I miss Jac calling me “her Louie” so much. I just can’t believe I will never hear her saying that to me again. It’s just too painful. Reading your words brought the sound of her voice back to me, so thank you even if it did make me cry.

I recorded the shows so have only been able to watch a little so far, but I’ve watched several clips of specific items. I saw enough to know that both you and Jen did a wonderful job! She is a great addition to your team.
I have to believe things happen for a reason. I often think that my late husband sent my new husband because he wanted someone to look out for me as he had. And it is weird how they have so much in common. I often think my mom sent me my cocker Ruger because I missed out on having kids and she knew I needed to be a “mom”. I love him soooo much, and the unconditional love and the joy I get from him are just what I needed. That led me to become involved with cocker rescues. We now have six dogs! So while my life is different than I thought it’d be, it turned out to be ok. I found happiness again. The dogs have given me a new purpose in life that I didn’t have before.
My point in all this rambling is, yes, I agree Jac sent you Jen as you proceed with the next chapter of your life.

As another Southern girl (Tennessee born and always lived here), I sure know what “baptism in fire” means; and Jennifer did excellent with her “baptism in fire” Linea presentations! I, too, love her soft-spoken way of talking and pointing out the details and pluses of different pieces. And, yes, Jennifer, you look fabulous in the Linea clothes as well! Jac has to be smiling at this new venture in your business and at the help she so much wanted you to have! Bravo!

Jennifer, I was born in Nashville and now live just north of town in Hendersonville. Love the Memphis area, especially anytime my husband and I can tour Graceland again. (He’s the Elvis generation while I’m more of the Beatles generation.)
