…………………………TEE SHIRTS are a summer staple. They are the garments you reach for every day, because they are easy, comfortable and and uncomplicated. With that in mind I think you need a variety of styles. Most are simple unadorned designs in wonderful summery colors, but every now and then I think of an embroidery or on rare occasions find a piece of hardware that I think looks expensive enough to use. This hardware fits that bill and MORE. These round metal disc “STUDS” have SUBSTANCE and DIMENSION. They are highly polished, and look like beautiful buttons. The advantage of them being studs and not buttons is you don’t have to deal with button holes, and you don’t have to worry about the buttons falling off………I call this tee, “THE CAPTAIN’S TEE”, A308470, because the studs on both shoulders just reminds me of the kind of decorations you would see on a captain’s shirt……it’s called creative license………………The tee is made in my SILKY light weight cotton knit, which as many of you already know from wearing and washing them, is a superior quality. The sleeves are short, the neckline is a crew, and there is a yoke on each shoulder where the studs are placed…..three on each shoulder…….I rarely use hard wear on anything, not because I don’t like it, but because I rarely find hard wear that I can afford, and that looks expensive. When I saw these studs I knew immediately I had to use them………I will be showing the white tee as you see it in the photos above with my new WHITE SUMMER WEIGHT DENIM SHORTS, A306294 REG. length and A306293 for the PETITE length…………I chose the NEW…….GEOMETRY NECKLACE and EARRING SET, J354000 [GEO for short], to accessorize this new Captain’s tee. It is perfect. I don’t honestly think you can find anything that works better. The HIGHLY POLISHED metal in the SILVERTONE looks great with the studs. The TRIANGLES, SQUARES and CIRCLES of the “Y” necklace are in perfect harmony with the studs on the Tee. The necklace isn’t too much or to little. It doesn’t clash with the studs at all. They compliment each other beautifully. I put this necklace in the same category as the Y Bar necklace. It’s a no brainer and works with everything. It’s not always easy to maintain a very casual look when you add jewelry. Sometimes adding the wrong jewelry makes the “look” more dressy then you would like. Sometimes dressy works, and sometimes you want to keep it simple, but you still want it to stand out….or else what’s the point of wearing it?…..The earring is a simple CUBE post [pierced only] from which a chain and a small TRIANGLE hang. It’s simple and makes just enough of a statement. These can easily be worn on their own or mixed with other silver jewelry you may already own…..like fabulous silver chains………………There will be days when all you want is your basic tee, but how much fun is this new version with the SILVER STUDS going to be to wear. You know women will want to know where you got it, and men will look admiringly!……………………………enjoy…………………………..much Love……………………….Louis
