…………………………This “BIG DEAL” sweater will be presented on August 21st at 9:00pm on QVC2. The style number is ………A343152……….. This is a Whisper Knit sweater in a JERSEY STITCH which makes it a lighter sweater. The jersey fabric is lighter in weight than the Every Needle Rib. You may recall, and I’m sure many of you still have, the cotton/acrylic sweater I did quite a few years ago with the bell embroidered sleeve. The emb. on that sweater was similar to the baseball jacket with big cabbage roses. This newer version, which many of you requested I bring back, has a more delicate pattern of embroidery. The sweater is approx. 25 to 25 1/2 inches for the xxs. Since it is a jersey stitch all of the hems are finished with a fine tubular border. The neckline is an open BALLET style which I think is very feminine and in keeping with the style of the emb. There is a slight shape to this sweater so it is not straight up and down. You can see in the photos the small flowers and leaves which gives the emb. a refined delicate look……As it turns out the emb. on this BLACK SWEATER just happens to work perfectly with the new SOFT FLORAL skirt in the Black combination, A341732/A341733……Honestly, this was a total accident, but a fabulous one…..Due to the first tier of the skirt not having a lot of fullness the sweater sits on top beautifully. This is another way to combine and mix your wardrobe……..Also, in the pictures above, to the upper left is the new BLACK MOSS CREPE SKIRT, A341729. I can not tell you enough how the shape of this skirt will work with so many tops and jackets where other “fuller” skirts will not…………..With every BIG DEAL we always try to create something special to go with it. In this case a new necklace and earring set. This necklace has a series of SEVEN graduated faceted glass beads in FIVE GROUPS spaced along the chain. The color above is PLUM with copper chain and spacer beads. This is an iridescent Plum/Magenta bead with copper high lights that you can only see from certain angles….The earring is a simple bead dropped from the chain. These will be pierced only. The style number is J356989……….I think this is a fabulous way to look, and so comfortable. Dazzle them at work, at church at dinners , special occasions and the Holidays………………………………………..Enjoy………………………………..much Love…………………………..Louis

Louis! I am one of the throngs who lovingly wore the bell sleeve turtleneck of years ago and requested it be brought back in some way. You’ve outdone yourself with the new sweater and I can’t wait to get mine and add it to my many other pieces from your collection!!! I never fail to receive compliments no matter which design i am wearing. Thank you so much for the care you take with all your fashions – and fashionistas! Be well!
Hi Louis
This sweater is gorgeous. I cannot wait to order the black version. I just love your whisper knit sweater fabric. I like it better than cashmere. It is always so exciting when you start presenting your new season.
Tomorrow night is my son’s rehearsal dinner. I am wearing a gorgeous Armani Ivory silk off the should top with your Linea ivory classic pants. They match perfectly. I purchased a couple of pairs of those pants in ivory besides the Linea ivory jacket. Like Jac I cut out the pockets of the pants and sew up the opening so I have a smoother line. I have so many pairs of your pants. They are all so slimming.
Louis,
I was wondering about the cut of the body of the Big Deal sweater. Although I have always worn a size small in your Whisper Knit sweaters I found I had to go up to a Medium in your Whisper Knit Sweater with Pockets #302563. In the pictures the embroidered sweater appears to be more of a straight cut. Your opinion please.
Janice
Dear Janice….the WK sweater you referenced is made in the every needle rib construction which is very stretchy, but the measurements may be smaller due to the stretch quality. I think the tunic you are talking about was on the small side. This sweater in the WK is made in a jersey stitch, no ribbing so it isn’t a small body. I would recommend ordering you normal sweater size.
Hi Louis. Is there any possible way to shorten the sleeve on the Big Deal. I have Petite length arms. I was never able to get that iconic embroidered sweater or jacket you did years ago, either!
Sheila
Sorry Sheesh…..not really
Sheesh…..I take that back. Because it has a tubular finish it can be turned back 3/4 of an inch without disturbing the emb, and then slip stitched with small stitches to Keep the hem secure.More then that would go into the emb.
Oh, Louis, this really IS a “big deal”. What a way to kick off fall! I’ve been thinking about how I’d like to see another embroidered-sleeve sweater from you a la the bell-sleeved T-neck of years ago, and I know I’m not the only one. This is really lovely, and I was already mad about this necklace, which I’m in for in both the plum and the sage. I just can’t resist those real glass beads, there’s nothing else like them.
These are all so beautiful! The colors you chose are mesmerizing! It will be very hard to choose just one or even two. I love the caramel and also the forest green. No one understands colors like you do Louis. You are truly an artist. It will be fun to look down at the embroidery while wearing these! Thank you!!!
Nancy….then the Caramel faux suede pants are a must have. It is the only bottom that color comes in and there are FIVE OTHER PIECES coming in Caramel including this BIG DEAL sweater
Is the embroidered sleeve a straight sleeve on the end or is it bell shaped or slightly bell shaped. I can’t tell from the photos.
It has a straight bottom, no high/low hem but it is bell shaped to accommodate the emb. It is not extreme. I didn’t want a big bell shape. It is almost if not exactly like the one I did before.
A slight bell shape to the sleeve edge is fine. Thank you.
Absolutely exquisite and I already have both of those black skirts.
This is GORGEOUS!!! What a great Big Deal!!
Hi Louis!
This is going to be a hard decision. I have the Cassis wk skirt from a few years ago and thinking the black might go with it. Your thoughts? So glad to see the bead necklaces offered in the copper.
Thanks for all you do.
Dawn
Dear Dawn, I no longer have that skirt, but I would guess they will blend very well.Actually I think there may be a few of the emb. colors in the sweaters that could work.
Hi Louis!
Pulled the cassis skirt out and put it with the black gauze embroidered tunic and it looks wonderful. The pink blotter blouse also goes well with the cassis, wine and blackberry. Hth other linea ladies who own these pieces.
Now to decide on another color in the sweater!. I always fall back on black—not this time.
Thanks for all you do!
Dawn
Dear Louis,
Thank you so much for this! I picked up one of your previous sweaters on eBay and have worn it constantly. Since I have both skirts, the black is a no brainer addition to my wardrobe. I was wondering though what color might work well with your midi skirts from last year, especially the blackberry? I have a feeling that your new pencil skirt is going to be too short for me. Unless the midi skirt is coming back??? 🙂
Thank you for all your wonderful designs. I have never posted anything before but have been a Linea fan for some years.
Thank you, you, you, Louis! I am anxiously awaiting the big deal day!
Hugs,
Bernadette
That was supposed to be…
Thank you, thank you, thank you. iPads. Sheesh!!!
You are welcome, but I’m not sure if this is from Bernadette or Shelia??????
Wow!!! This is gorgeous!!! Every color is smashing. Going to be hard to decide which color sweaters and necklaces to get. Thanks so much for the sneak peek!
Oh-My-Goodness, Louis! Beyond Beautiful! Every colour choice is Fabulous!
Seka.
