………………………..I rarely do any jewelry using flowers as a theme. It’s difficult to keep them from looking too literal or too cute……it’s just my preference. However, this season with flowers being such a strong theme in prints and appliques, I felt compelled to do some flower jewelry. I took on the challenge. I hope you like it……..I decided to do something very modern in metal. No color, nothing fancy, nothing to limit how it can be worn…..I pared the design down to its’ bare essence……..I call this my “FLOWER POWER NECKLACE and EARRING SET”, J390567. There are two flowers in the design. One is a larger open flower and the other smaller flower is solid. All are highly polished for a very modern look. The chain I have chosen is simple but has character, and its’ open small link works perfectly with the flowers…..The Earring has a ball stud at the top and a smaller version of the open flower hanging from the chain…..pierced only…….For me, this set is very MODERN, but for some it may remind them of the 60s and a show called “Laugh In”…..The show used a flower similar to the flower in the necklace………Remember, at the time it was also considered VERY MODERN…..I think it has stood the test of time, and continues to be timeless and yes, MODERN…………..Spring and flowers may be a cliche, but it’s a beautiful one. It would be difficult for me to live in a world without flowers…………………..enjoy………………………much Love………………………..Louis
