“October Sneak Peek # 11” is a Sunday SURPRISE….well hardly a surprise since you have already seen it in other sneak peeks. This is my A229476, DRAPED FRONT TOP. As you can see it is VERY similar to the A219799, PYTHON PRINT draped top, which many of you have asked me to do in SOLID COLORS. As I said, this top is SIMILAR to but not exactly like the python one [when you change fabrics adjustments have to be made]. The Python top was in a 91% polyester 9% spandex fabric, and this new one is in a 96% rayon 4% spandex fabric. This top is also a little longer than the python top, but you can easily pull in up to wear as you like is, and for that matter stretch it down too….if you so desire. As for the fit…… I find them very similar too, however the feel of the fabrics is very different. The rayon is softer and has more drape to it. If you are in between sizes you can certainly take the smaller size, which I “PERSONALLY” prefer, BUT I have learned not to give TOO MUCH advise when it comes to fit because EVERYONE likes things to “fit” differently and everyone has their own opinion whether something fits or not. I have read “fits like a glove” and “terrible fit” ALL for the same garment in the same size……..so you are on your own!!!!!LOL. The colors are ………….VIOLET…….TEAL……BLACK………..and YES they match the new jackets……..there isn’t any topaz in this top….the buyer could only buy three colors so we opted fo the black which looks great with the Topaz……maybe if it’s reordered and you ALL want the TOPAZ…we will do it. What to say about this top….it is PERFECT under jackets…..feminine and sexy….men love this kind of top on women. It is great belted or not and it is certainly the perfect background for lots of JEWELRY…….or a single cross as my J264036, BYZANTINE CROSS…..still one of my FAVORITE pieces….and one of yours too. The black beads [you must wear two strands] look fabulous on the TEAL….with the teal jacket or a black jacket or nothing but a pair of black WK PANTS. The purple is the perfect color for all of the BYZANTINE jewelry……please notice the J270116, chandelier earring which has all the colors of the Byzantine pieces. The Black top is perfect for all of your silver, gunmetal and gold. In this case the new GOLD and BLACK CROSS mixed with the new BLACK/GOLD enamel station necklace [coming] and the Multi cross and LOVE KNOT necklaces. It is very subtle but the A270121, 18 inch Love Knot necklace plays an important part, as it brings the focus BACK up to the face. My new DEMI HOOP earring is total PERFECTION with any and all of these choices….whether you go….GOLD…….SILVER …or……..GUNMETAL……This top is all about GLAMOR and COMFORT!!!!!….Enjoy…….much Love…..Louis

This draped front top is so cute. It reminded me of a drape front top I have in boucle knit–only I wrap it–as tight or loose as I want–and tie it around the back. I love it over high waisted, draped waisted skirts. Topped with a flared crepe jacket it’s really chic IMHO. These colors are beautiful, I’m going for the teal. How gorgeous all three pieces in teal, and I have the perfect scarf for a contrast.

Dear Chris….all three colors work with the chili pepper cascade skirt….it all depends how you pull it all together. The Byzantine beads look great with any top you choose. With the topaz I would do a deep luggage color boot or a honey brown….with the violet and teal, black will look good. Don’t forget I will be having violet and teal WK sweaters as part of the new essential program in Nov. also……….so you will have lots of choices. Bringing these cascade prints forward it exactly how I see them worn.
Louis, regarding the color of the teal, would you say that the shade is closer to the photos on the far left where the color is darker, or the lighter more exposed photos directly to the right where the color appears brighter? Being blonde, that dark teal is really my color (but I would have loved this in the topaz, too). Many thanks, btw, for your kindness in answering all our questions here.
The colors are definitely closer to the darker deeper colors, not the overexposed pics.

Yes, today it is the superlative “DearEST” because this top and bottom are superlative. If I had been given the chance to have you whip up my ideal outfit, this would be it! I own multiple surplice tops in a variety of colors, but somehow, yours look better. I’m mad for the style! And you have skirts to go with these tops, skirts that have such a fantastically drapey and elegant look. These are absolutely tops in my book. When will the skirts be available, and what is their length? Too soon to know? My first cousin’s daughter is a designer in Greece, and she does drapey things that I love. She is Ioanna Kourbela. I’ll have to be patient, I guess, to learn more about the oh so desirable skirt. You don’t really have to take a look at Ioanna’s site. Just thought you might get a kick at a young Greek girl’s designs. The last time I saw Ioanna was in 2003 when, I believe, she was just getting started. If I remember correctly, she was about 21 at the time. She has such a sweet soul — that’s what I liked most about her. 🙂

I have a question. Does the dark teal go with the topaz jacket. I know this may seem odd but for some reason I think they would go together. However, I may be completely wrong as I haven’t seent the topaz color yet.
I love to mix these colors…..again it’s a matter of how you pull it together with your accessories, scarves etc. The topaz in in the previous sneak peek #10.
A229478 is also the item number for the lace top coming.

Dear Chris, I am assuming you are referring to the brushed cotton jacket with the GM buttons and zippers…..NO, they are totally different colors. The peacock is much greener than the teal. As far as putting the skirts with this top….I no longer have those samples to check. I either put them in storage or gave them to charity. After a while, if something is no longer being sold I either store it or give it away.I recently HAD to donate a lot of samples. After 12 years I had to purge!!!! There will be some very lucky XS women out there who are in need of clothing…….everything gets donated to charities.
Does this violet top match the violet HTC skirt?
Dear Debbie….Yes….the Violet top matches the Violet HTC and the Violet HTC matches the solid Violet blazer….it was all designed to work together….mix and match.

That’s funny….I saw it somewhere and answered it. I would not hold off if you really want it, because the station necklace won’t be posted until the end of the month or early Nov. as I have been told, but I will check again. Also there aren’t that many in each color…so don’t be left out.
