Well Barbara…let me see…..firstly, this is PONTE KNIT so it has more stretch. The Jac blazer is one button and very different pockets. The new one has patch pockets…..so the style is totally different. Heaven forbid you should damage or stain the one white jacket you have beyond cleaning or repairing…there goes your white jacket. If you have more than one black jacket why not have two white ones? Makes perfect sense. They can be worn all year round, love a white blazer with a black TN and pants and the black trench coat [or any black coat] over it….very chic and dramatic….certainly an easy entrance maker……and it’s washable [even though I prefer all blazers dry cleaned the ponte washes well. There is a matching pant and skirt and there are previous bottoms in this fabric like the crop pant that can be coordinated…..Have I convinced you yet?
Louis, you are such a dear to take the time to answer my question in depth. Of course you have convinced me! I am going to Palm Springs the first of next month, so I’ll be watching closely so I can order as soon as it is available. I’m thinking it will pack well and be perfect for the desert. Thank you.
