“October Sneak Peek # 12”, is A229474, the LONG JERSEY SKIRT. It is in the exact same fabric and colors as the draped top…………VIOLET……..TEAL………BLACK………so they are a perfect match…….The fabric is 96% RAYON and 4% SPANDEX, and the skirt is 34 inches long. What is beautiful about this skirt is the front draping. It starts with an invert pleat in the center front and then has additional narrow pleats on either side, which gives the skirt a beautiful drape and flow. There isn’t a huge sweep at the bottom so the skirt isn’t overwhelming at all. Actually, on the body it hangs very straight, which is great for under jackets. The waist band is fully elastic …..EXCEPT…….above the PLEATED AREA where it is perfectly flat…… This keeps the pleats absolutely FLAT. Some may say….”pleats over the tummy….not a good thing”……on the contrary………it creates a great camouflage to hide the tummy……..if it were flat, in this particular fabric, it would show the tummy more, and sometimes shirring adds to much fullness. If you bought my summer printed maxi dress with the pleated front and back…..you know how flattering these very FLAT pleats can be. There are no pockets in this skirt. This is one of those skirts you will mix and match with many things you already have. PLEASE do not be afraid to mix your colors….i.e. the FUCHSIA WK T-neck with the VIOLET skirt as in the photo above…..the TOPAZ WK T-neck with the TEAL skirt. Of course the BLACK skirt will become a work horse for you and will go with absolutely EVERYTHING….including your new HOUNDS TOOTH CHECK JACKETS.. That total column look of one color is easily achieved pairing the draped top with this skirt for a terrific TWO PIECE DRESS LOOK. This is where you can really have fun with the colors….and we all know, for some of you, it’s much easier to buy two separate pieces in two different sizes to give you a dress look. The fact that there are matching jackets is a complete BONUS! For my ladies who travel…….roll it up and put in in you carry on case along with your matching top………when you arrive at your destination…… you are ready for any occasion. Wash and wear is the perfect answer for your busy life styles. Dear Toni…..you definitely won’t look like a Mac Truck and there is very little fullness on the sides….Just curious…..how tall are you?I definitely think you should try at least one….probably the black it you have concerns.
Dear Louis: I am 5’8″ and am small busted making my top torso an XL and the bottom a 1X – I wear everything out, never tucked in at the waist, never belted. In fact your 1X safari jacket is big up top, but I can’t buttom the bottom, doesn’t matter because I like a jacket worn open. I am a perfect PEAR. Sad, huh? Thanks Louis.
First, your top and bottom are only one size difference so you are pretty much in proportion…..I would not call you a pear. A true pear shape is someone who’s bottom is 2 to 3 sizes larger than the top. Do you have narrow shoulders……if so you should wear shoulder pads to balance you hips to your shoulders…..getting back to the skirt at 5 foot 8 inches you should have no trouble wearing this skirt with either the draped top or many of the essential sweaters that are coming in Nov. which will give you a very sleek look……
Bless you Louis: I’m not a PEAR, this is GREAT NEWS. I feel better already – I bought your Walnut long jewel neck sweater and I can get the skirt in black and just bring that sweater right over my hips. Yes, I’m small at the shoulders and then narrow at the waist. But the shoulder pads would proportion everything out without looking like Joan Crawford. The skirt should fall below my knee. Thank you sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much, I can’t wait to get the skirt.

Wondering if you will consider reordering A227582 slash pocket trousers in ivory, tan or camel. Like the weight of these trousers, also like the fit of numbered sizing. Would like the matching jacket A227581 in the above colors. Love navy with ivory trousers. I am an attorney and everywhere I go people comment on how well dressed I am. I always tell them about you and they are shocked that I can buy such classy elegant clothing on QVC. I buy very nice accessories and never get rid of any of them; no matter how long I have had them. Dear Marigot…..so you’re HAPPY LADY!!!!!!wonderful!! You must realize that I have absolutely no say in what QVC decides to reorder. That is their business and totally up to them. If the pants weren’t reordered that means there were too many returns. It is very difficult to get a reorder on a “tailored” pant. The only pants that usually have a chance are the pull-on types. I guess they fit more people. When you see a pant you like, I suggest you get it quickly.
