I can say from experience that darker colors may feel heavier or may have a slightly different fit from lighter colors. This is because with dark colors the yarn absorbs more dye to achieve the color than lighter colors.. Certainly Ivory will always feel lighter than black……..It also may be a little more stretchy. Here is an analogy for this…….when you make cookies with a cookie cutter they are approx. all the same shape and size. When you bake them and take them out of the oven they may all look very different from each other. The baking process is like the dyeing process.
