………………………….This is one, not to be missed, FABULOUS SHIRT…….A349644, is the style number. The fabric content is…………65% COTTON, 32% NYLON and 3% SPAN…..The nylon gives this a very silky COOL touch. There are PRINCESS SEAMS front and back for a “follow the lines of the body” fit. It has a classic shirt collar and button front placket…..It has a classic long sleeve with a one button cuff and a sleeve placket with a single button. It also has a curved bottom which I think is more flattering on the body…………..However…………this shirt is ALL ABOUT THE EMBROIDERY. It has a combination of THREAD WORK to create the LEAVES…..and 3 DIMENSIONAL FLOWERS which stand away from the shirt adding lots of special interest. This is done on the front panel only. I chose to show it here with the black/white WINDOW PANE crop pant, A347445 reg. and A347446 for petite, with the FLORAL APPLIQUE. The flowers on the shirt and the flowers on the pant made it a natural combination….It’s a fun and special summer look……..The TRAPEZE necklace, J331644, in BLACK is the perfect accessory [it just happens to be the only color left in the Trapeze], and I love Black accessories on White, Colors and BLACK! Both the shirts are lovely. I was wondering if sizing up would work or look like I bought the wrong size. I sized up in the recent mandarin collar stripe shirt and I love it that way. Not sure about this though. Any advice?

Louis, beyond the huge lace trend for this season, this shirt is so lovely and so classic, that it will be wearable and chic for the length of it’s life. I can’t think of a woman I know who wouldn’t feel beautiful and comfortable in this shirt whether she was wearing it with a pair of jeans & flip flops eating a hot dog at the beach, or dressing up a a business suit with this shirt making her a stand out. Everyone needs something like this in their closet.
April….I thought so too. My only fear is they didn’t order enough of them in the white….I felt this whole 3 dimensional flower applique detail was a strong trend, hence the window pane pieces with the floral applique pant [which looks adorable with this shirt, and flip flops. I can see someone on a board walk eating a frankfurter at a stand. It would make a great editorial shot], and jacket and the tunic with the applique on the sleeve.

I LOVE this shirt! Exquisite detail, I may have to get both! I adore the lace pieces but realistically they have no place in my life. These, however, are perfect for me..as well as the stripe ones, the scarf top, etc.
Do you know when these will be presented?
Are these numerically sized? It’s always a bit of a challenge, do you recommend going up a size? In the photos they look quite fitted.

Dear Judi…..I only know that they are scheduled for this month. I never ever know when things get posted anymore. For example the Lace pieces and the tank. They will probably be on one of my 3/20 shows, but I never know. These will be numerically sized. First check out the bust and cross back measurement. If they seem too close then size up one. With numerical sizes, because there are many more to choose from, the grading isn’t as big as XXS-3X sizing. On my form they do not seem tight, just shaped. Your body type should be your guide.

Will these two wonderful blouses be on your March 20 shows? I intend to buy both colors. How do they run sizewise? Do they run small? They look like they fit close to the body.
Joanne, I can only assume that they will be on my next shows. I never know. I do not believe they run small. I would think they are similar to my other classic cotton shirt since we fit them all on the same model, and they do have stretch, but I will ask my manufacturer

Oh, Louis, these shirts are gorgeous! They remind me of the Anne Fontaine shops in Paris…when I lived in Paris there was a shop right around the corner from my apartment in the 16th arrondisement. As you know, they only sell women’s blouses and shirts and I would expect to see this shirt right in the window!

FYI, there is currently a similar flowered shirt at Anne Fontaine available for $425!
I just checked out her site……The shirts are very European and many are very fancy for mucho $$$, and all dry clean only. I used to see her store on Madison. The quality is beautiful, but for the money they had better be. I guess mine is a bargain….LOL
