………………………………Many of the Gondoliers wear BLACK & WHITE stripe long sleeve shirts with polo collars…..Even some of the poles that the gondolas are tied up to are painted in black and white stripes. It’s all very magical and picturesque. It’s like no other place on earth……………….Jac and I just fell in love with Venice and all it had to offer………..One of the main differences between the Gondolier’s shirts and mine is the fact that on their shirts the stripes are HORIZONTAL, and on my shirts the stripes are VERTICAL…………A black or white bottom is all you need, but for those of you whom are more adventurous try a fun bottom in color to add a little PIZZAZZ!….LIKE MY RED PANTS……….To accessorize I have chosen the FISH IN GLEAMING SILVER, J388731. Along with the Fish is the new Silver DISC NECKLACE and EARRING set. I already ordered the black and white, and am hoping to pair it with the windowpane check pants with lace trim. Of course, I ordered when I thought it was cotton, but am thrilled to hear it’s a more silk like fabric.
Carol, if it were cotton it would have been stiff and had a very different look. I wanted it to flow and be breezy!
I do like this fabric because, as you say, it is light as air. I think this black/white version will look super with the sapphire slim leg pants that are the only long pants, aside from my linen ones, that are tolerable once July rolls around. I love that shade of blue coupled with black, & this striped shirt with a couple of the fantasy fish will be pure fun.
April, I couldn’t agree more, but I will say you really should try my denim crops in the white and indigo. They are super light in weight. They even come in the longer length in white. I show them all the time….in petites too.
Oh, I have the capris in the white! I love them.
April, if you love those then you should try the long boot leg version….it’s a great summer white pant….casual and dressy
