…………………………..BLUE and SILVER OX is the third combination this Berber necklace will be avail in. Blue is a color you rarely see in Berber pieces, because there are few natural materials that are avail in a blue color. They use a lot of amber, turquoise, coral, glass, shell and enamel…..anything they can find to use in their one of a kind pieces. They will sometimes dye beads to achieve different colors. I sometimes wonder if they use the same dye that the “BLUE PEOPLE” use to dye their clothing….similar to my SAPPHIRE. It also dyes their skin blue……..The Blue People are descendants of the Berber’s, but are very independent, and also live in North Africa………They are incredibly beautiful…………………………enjoy………………………..much Love…………………………..Louis

Good morning Louis,
Love this blue, perfect for all the sapphire clothing now in my closet!
All 5 star reviews written.
Thank you this story of your adventure with Jac!
Miss that store in Soho.
Thank you, Elaine
Hi Louis!
Thank you for sharing your story and also for the education on the Berber people! Fascinating!
I love all the colors! What is the length and does it have an extender? How does it look doubled and close to the neck? Would this blue work with the white safari shirt and the indigo lace pant? Or do I see a new blue safari shirt in your pictures?
Susan
Dear Susan, you can not wear it doubled. The Sapphire blue pieces in the photo are the Crepe Gauze elongated shirt and matching tank. The best way to wear the white shirt, and blue beads would be with the sapphire slim pant. It would look fabulous.
The blue is EVERYTHING! Getting the amber as well. I am a big fan of this type of jewelry, too. I’ve shopped for the real thing in Spain and Morocco and had to take a pass on the price tags! Even with my best barter hat on. At least I’m making a conscious decision to buy a copy from you, at a copy price.
I’ve posted a few photos of my vintage AK Couture pieces on the Llamas facebook page. Take a little trip down memory lane….

I understand about the price. It was really expensive when Jac and I went to Morocco. The store may have been slightly off the beaten track, but the dealer certainly knew what he was selling and it’s worth. I can’t imagine how expensive that jewelry is today….though I’m sure the gentleman is no longer with us. He was older at the time, and that was quite a few years ago.
Love!
This is a MUST for me!
