Feeling sorrow on this day Louis. But also gratitude that Jacques let us get to know something of her beautiful soul and personality as she wrote and shared brief stories about her life on Facebook. I remember how amazed I was when Lisa Robertson, former QVC hostess, interviewed Jacques along with you in the series she did about you as designer. The first words out of Jacques mouth made it clear what a refined and well-spoken lady she was. Up til then, I had only known her as one of the models. She was SO much more than that, and as a model, such a standout. Now, along with so many others who follow your fashion designs and creations, I feel a real fondness for her and indeed miss her, along with so many others who also respect and love her. May you feel comforted. She will always be yours.

I think of her often…when I plant and tend to my pansies and garden, when I wear your clothing that Jac adored, when I make Jac’s recipes and so much more.
It is so hard for me to believe Jac is no longer on Earth, and so I can’t imagine what a challenge it is for you, dear Louis. Jac was — and still is — your angel. Those exclusive designers who used her beauty and talent on their runways knew beauty when they saw it.
So did you, but your recognition of Jac was even better: You saw not just her outer beauty but also her inner beauty. May she rest in peace. I bet she relished that!
