Dec. Sneak Peek #3 is the A230027, Ponte Knit dress in the CHOCOLATE color. This is a soft medium brown shade……not as dark as the Walnut from this past fall. The reason for choosing this color was…………..I needed a brown shade that would contrast well with the black for the jacket. If I had chosen walnut….it would have been too close to the black in value and the design would not have been apparent. This dress can take you right into spring…depending on how you accessorize it…………………for spring try some brighter contrast colors like wonderful turquoise beads or for a more tonal look…. tortoise. Again, belt it or not…..that is totally up to you.

I love this color combination for winter, this tortoise brown looks to have a hint of grey? or runs on cool side, what hair color would you say it’s more ideal for?
The knit is beautiful and while it is not a velour, which JC brings to mind, it is a knit that is not so “Matte” and therefore has a dressier look? I also love the sculptural look of the shoulders and the sporty details. In fact, if you wanted to get two you could change into the spare and head to the gym! Louis, I guess for that we will need jogging pants in brown……… cobalt……… and black…..!!!!!……And raspberry!!!!

Actually I think the brown is on the warm side and that is why I put this color, in the abstract print on Kate and Albany chose it for herself. The both have deep red hair. I think this color would work for most hair colors. If you are a platinum blond I would suggest darker make up, but otherwise it is very flattering.
I loved this medium brown styled look so much that I spent 3-1/2 hours on eBay Sunday (while I was also watching my football team lose **still hurts**) and finally found a 2-inch chocolate brown faux croco Ralph Lauren belt that I like a lot. I have some interesting gemstone necklaces in brown tones (jasper, opal, agate, amber, copal) that I’m looking forward to wearing with it.
I really love this dress. I might even buy it in two sizes just so it always fits perfectly.

Are those chocolate beads I see, or are they the black one?
They are dark brown mottled beads that come from my collection……However, I will be showing my black beads and “black slice” bracelet also, which look great on any of the colors.
