It has been brought to my attention that the bust measurement on the new scoop neck sweater is a little smaller than usual. I compared it to other WK sweaters and it is a wee bit smaller. If you are in between sizes or well endowed, you may want to consider sizing up a size. If you are not so, or average I think our normal size will be fine. Take a good look at the collage photos of the sweater and make your own judgment.

Oh, what to do … ? Every WK turtleneck, boatneck sweater, my lace trimmed short sleeve cardigans, and the waist whittling bow neck sweaters all fit perfectly, with plenty of ease in 2X, and I am not particularly well endowed … but I wear a 3X in most jackets, etc. I based my decision on the bow neck sweater; hope I guessed right, but fear I may not have, and there won’t be any left to re-order. Greater fear is then the returns rate will be high again, and no re-orders. Ah, well, we can’t control everything, especially from half way around the globe. Love the colors, and looking forward to spring 🙂

Don’t worry about the return rate . Just get what you need even if it means ordering different sizes!
Aw, you’re a nice man 🙂 I changed my order, and sized up just in case; better a bit loose than snug, especially in warmer weather … and I do LOVE those colors …
HAVE A GREAT show; we’ll be watching and cheering 🙂

I 2nd that…what a kind and considerate person. Thank you for all the behind-the-scenes info about the manufacturing side. It didn’t occur to me that even a difference in humidity could affect the weave of a sweater. Fascinating!
I don’t know how you can deliver such beautiful, quality pieces at these prices. We are very fortunate, indeed.
You can understand with all the variables how easy it can be for something to go wrong. After printing a fabric, which for everyone concerned, came out perfect…..if they wash the excess dye off in the baths too long it can look a little faded….oy the headaches! I remember going to a print factory in Japan, early in my career, and they were still washing the extra dyes off in the local streams!!!!! That’s why the old print factories were built near these streams….They later discovered they were poisoning the land and laws were made to stop this.We have definitely come a long way with technology, but some things artisan processes were lost also….
I pre-ordered and as of today, mine has been shipped. I did order up from my normal size, due to the very strange click here measurements, so hopefully it will be ok. If not, sadly it will be returned and not re-ordered. I so hope it fits.Thank you for posting this info, but, too bad we didn’t know going in.
This is not good news. I too am a plus size. Your WK v-neck sweaters are perfection of material and fit. Three inches smaller will mean returns and a no-go for me, too. I had pre-ordered two of the sweaters, I am now re-thinking the purchase in light of this information. Disappointing, to be sure.
Thank you so much for the sizing information. I have gone up a size in hopes that it will fit. I am well endowed and was worried about it. Can’t wait for the new whisper knits coming at in the spring. I have all of the V-necks in L except the blue, somehow I keep missing it. You are wonderful.
In the 1x, the bust size is 3 inches smaller, which is more than a little bit for me! This measurement anomoly also occured with the cotton, short-sleeved, mock neck sweater which came in yellow, white, hot pink and black. When I sized up, it was enormous, yet the chest was STILL tight and revealed too much for an elementary school classroom.
I hope the March whisper knits are cut like my favorites, the v-neck, the wk cardigan or the tneck. If they are cut like this sweater, they won’t be a fit for me. 🙁
Thank you for looking into this and designing such beautiful clothing.
The above-referenced sweater is A87423. 🙂
