Hello all……I am very pleased to get such an overwhelming positive response to my question. I was thinking of modifying the shirt slightly. I’d like to make it 1 1/2 inches longer and add band pockets…….thoughts? What colors would you like to see it in? Due to minimum dying of the yarn I may have to limit the stripes and contrast under collar and cuff to white and black. I’ll know more if we go a head with it…………………Louis

Louis, Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I was the one who originally asked you if you thought it would be possible to bring back the windowpane blouse in the fabric that you used for the India Pink Shantung Jacket. You had mentioned the silk you used for the windowpane was no longer affordable, and there was no other fabric that would produce such rich, vibrant colors. I thought the windowpane blouse would be beautiful in the India Pink that you used for the Shantung Jacket !! You said you would check with your manufacturer to see if it was possible. Not only did you check with your manufacturer, but you have a gorgeous sample in aqua and black to show us! All in record time!! I am so excited!!!! I love the aqua and black, and since you are asking us what colors we would like, I would love the aqua and black as well as India Pink, lime, violet, periwinkle, turquoise, poppy orange/red, a pale pink, icy blue, black with white lines, and white with black lines. I would prefer black lines, as opposed to white lines, to be able to wear with black pants, crops, etc. I loved the mix of bright colors (such pink and orange) that you offered in the original silk version, but I understand if that is not possible at this time. Hopefully, it may be possible to offer the mix of bright colors in the future (rather than just black or white lines) As far as the length, I was fine with the length of the original version, so I would say if you think adding about an inch would be good, I certainly trust you judgement. I wouldn’t want it any longer than that, because I like the classic look. I also love the straight bottom with the side slits. I think the straight bottom looks especially good with the windowpane design. Louis, you are amazing!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!
Two thumbs up from me on slightly longer and band pockets for the windowpane shirt!

I would like to see two colors in one shirt that coordinate with your important colors of the season–like sapphire and red or boysenberry and indigo from last Spring. That way I can match one top with two bottoms. I have 8 of the silk version, which look like new still, but fewer current colors to pair with them besides black and white.
Classic black with white and white with black. Thanks for asking!
Yippee. I have the original in black with white, Orange with pink, and purple ish with turquoise. Please bring back bright colors. A little longer will be a plus. Please do some brights, winter can use some fun colors too.
Yes, I still love my originals, Silk lasts forever too.😁😁

No longer or it will be too boxy. I also think a pocket would disrupt the windowpane pattern.
I have perhaps six of the originals in silk and love them.
One of the beauties of the originals is unusual color combinations. You have such a wonderful eye for color—do your magic.
Maybe if we removed the collar, do a kimono front with band done in self bias.
Louis,
I would love a longer length with pockets! I would love to see caramel with black, and expresso with white (would really love alabaster check stripe)! Thanks for asking for our opinion.

I like Kate’s suggestion of bringing back celadon. It goes so well with verdigris jewelry.
I like the color that’s shown in your photo. Turquoise or aqua with navy or black. The length you suggested would be nice.
Hi Louis, I say yes to the longer length also. I know you will have great color combinations. The ladies have all given great suggestions. If I may add my choices, I will ask for black and white, sapphire, gray, and alabaster. Thank you for considering our suggestions. Thank you Louis. You are the best.
Add me to the list of those who think graphic designs need to be properly matched.
Louis, you’re always so thoughtful to ask for our opinions as you plan your designs! Add me to the list of those who’d really love to see a longer length. The original was too short for many of us. I’d prefer black/white, white/black, or black/color.
Louis, as long as you are asking for opinions why not curve the hem so it’s not so boxy? Straight across hems are not near as flattering as a curved or more of a modified shirt tail hem!
Of course we want it longer! Who wants to show that much tummy and bum? Most of us are very self conscious of that area of the body!
Yes, yes, yes on the longer length. The original length was just too short for most of us of average to tall height. As far as colors I hope you will choose colors to match with your most requested super ponte pants. We all love them!
Dear Louis, What a wonderful idea! Love the color suggestions of others so my one request would be to have the “plaid” match at the side seams. Please ask QVC to go for the higher price point.
Can’t wait for tomorrow!
Many Thanks, Linda
Changed my mind . . . The square window pane of the graphic is better suited to the shorter original length. Maybe a 1 1/2 inch lengthening wouldn’t disrupt the design. But, the original was just right.

Since I’m large on top, I will prefer color combos that are predominately dark with a lighter stripe. Longer is fine, but so is the original length. Thank you for thinking of bringing this back. I’ve transitioned my wardrobe so that it’s probably 95% Linea.

The sewn down pockets are a great detail. The problem is when they are too close to the bottom hem of the blouse/top, and there is no room to shorten the length of the garment. I could only shorten the pebble crepe pullover tops with the dip in the back by about an inch, because of the sewn down pockets. There have been several styles like that. I realize that I am in the minority here, and there are a lot of different body types.
Yes on the added length and pockets, banded or not, you know best. My stripe choice would be white, something lighter in tone other than black. Shirt body coloring in all variants of earth colors, browns to taupes/tans,soft dove grey, shades of green/light to bright. You’re the genius who’ll make the sausage, as they say! We just devour it with great relish. How’s that for food referrence, Mr Luigino?
Black on a midtone green that would work over either olive or loden would be good.
Hi Louis, So as April noted above you would like to limit the cross-striping to black & white with spring colors. If that means pastels I’m out of luck LOL…
Definitely BLACK, some shade of BROWN, a TEAL or JADE, SILVER, PLUM are my suggestions.
But whatever you end up choosing will be perfect & grazie for asking our opinions!
I’d like both indigo and beige with black. Love your new beige, goes with about everything.
Oh I forgot colors
Black background and white
Royal and red
Turq and lime
Pink and white
I’m thinking of the Pompeii necklace to go with it
… but we don’t have a black one yet, do we ?
The collar on the original—while perfect scale for the time—looks dated now.
It’s too small, it needs more of a STATEMENT SHIRT COLLAR to bring it up
to date and cool 😎 looking. The contrast white under collar and cuffs aren’t
important, the plaid is what’s important IMHO.
That would be tunic length for me, so I would pass.
YES! Definitely longer! I like the classic color combos–black/while, white black, plus navy/bright pink, navy/lime green, white/latte tan, latte/tan with pink or navy stripes…
Definitely agree with the longer length and pockets. Have many of the original silk. My favorites are the fuchsia/orange and the chocolate/white. I really like the new material.
Louis, I love that it will be longer. I’d love a classic Black on White or White on Black!
Hi Louis,
Definitely agree with longer length, pockets are fine. As for color choices: navy & white, sienna/umber & black, espresso & black, alabaster & black & finally scarlet red & white or black stripes.
Chris
As short as possible please.
Please make it longer. I like to keep the backside covered. By the way, I don’t like the hi low hemlines unless they are very gradual. I think the black lining is better than white. You are the best for all you do. You make our lives so much easier and prettier!
Hi Louis,
Yes, I like your modifications…longer length and pockets! Great! For colors, I would suggest Black/Red, Black/White, Denim/Navy, Navy/White, Chocolate/White, Fuchsia/White, Sapphire/Kelly Green, Merlot/Navy, Sapphire/Red and Caramel/Black.
Have a safe trip tomorrow!
Love, Diana
Hi. Yes, longer is a plus ! Pockets !!! Yes
Spring Colors – Navy / white, Pink / White, brown / Black ?
Fall colors – Carmel/black, Alabaster/ Black,
Thank you for your beautiful clothes… my closet is full of Linea !!
I think that’s a great idea. If you’re limiting the cross-striping to black or white, and you’re starting this experiment in spring colors, I would like to see it in black (duh), navy, bright pink, and white. I, too, still have my original one, in bright blue with the red, that I bought for one 4th of July party long ago, and it’s still beautiful.
I agree with the longer length. I also agree pink, not perfectly pink but a deeper pink. Not as dark as recent India pink, ( even though I LOVE this one). Aqua (seafoam), periwinkle would be pretty.
Hi Louis,
I’d only consider it if it were longer. The first silk shirt was too short. Pockets are a plus! Your color choices are always the best. Thanks for considering all the preferences of the Linea Ladies and the differing responses.
Goof Morning Louis,
Yes!!!! Slightly longer and pockets would be great! Colors: Navy, Port, Celedon, Espresso (although I have the original silk one,) Perfectly Pink, Olive, Caramel, Red, Black and Ivory- all colors we can coordinate with separates we already have 😄.
My flight to London is early tomorrow but I will be stalking QVC’s app while waiting to board the plane to grab the new arrivals before they’re gone, hopefully I’ll be successful! Looking forward to all that will be offered both tomorrow and the near future with the two BD’s and the faux suede boot cut pants (already bought brown suede booties to coordinate, hopefully they match well!) Fall is my favorite time of year and what you have teased us with: the plaid blazers, trench coats, pants… I CANNOT wait!
All the best,
Kate
Hi,
It’s been awhile since we’ve had some of your beautiful aqua pieces. Also, pinks, other than perfectly pink. It just doesn’t work very well for me.
I’m in for a little extra length and pockets of your choosing.
Thank you!
I LOVE BRIGHT COLORS PERIWINKLE BL AND TEAL ORANGE AND PINK BLACK AND WHITE FOR SURE
BELIVE THESE SHIRTS NEED BRIGHT COLORS, IE: JIM THOMPSON SILK. DK BROWN AND WHITE A CHOICE, ALSO.
TRULY, LOUIS WHAT U DECIDE FOR US WILL BE AMAZING. U R SO KIND TO ASK IN FIRST PLACE.
I AM OLDER LIKE LONGER LENGTH
AND CAN STICK OO A JACKET
THANKS
P.s. colors…would love caramel/black or white, all things alabaster with black or white, sapphire/black, scarlet/black. Thanks again. See you tomorrow. Pamela SS
Banded pockets…yes if sewn down inside. Much longer would be a no,as well as uneven hem . Done with those back at boat neck petite tunics. Thank you. Pamela SS.
Pamela, the pockets would definitely be sewn down as i usually do, and only 1 1/2 longer to accommodate the pocket.
Louis, would love an on seam pocket like the India Pink Shantung. I’m sure I am in the minority but the on seam pocket doesn’t add any “bulk” and of course it is a trick of the eye to distract from the area I wish to hide. I will trust you as well as the choices you make. You know best! Have a safe journey and looking forward to seeing you tomorrow! Thank you so much! oxoxoxox Cat
Dear Somersault….The solid shantung jacket had body seams so the pocket could easily be in seam….but….if I did the same seaming on the windowpane. the pattern would bee all cut up and there is no way to match all of those seams…..You would not be happy……better too insert a band.
Louis, Yes – slightly longer but not tunic length.
Colours: Black, Gray, Espresso, Caramel, Olive, Red.
Thank you for asking for our suggestions.
Seka.
No, not a tunic….just long enough to accommodate a pocket…..There not very spring colors….LOL
