January Sneak Peek # 6 is J273959, my PANTHER LINK WATCH. This is the third watch I have presented and it is a beauty. As Lisa Robertson says…..”this is old money”. This watch is all about CLASS. There are SEVEN ROWS of high polished “panther” links. The band measures 3/4 of an inch wide and the case is 1 1/4 inches wide. It will be available shortly, in either gold or silver. It also has an added clasp link for you to adjust to fit you perfectly. I love this watch in gold paired with my gold chain bracelet, of which there are still a few available. There is nothing like a wrist LADEN with gold! I also love this watch with my very simple, but very chic, DEMI HOOP EARRING. There still are some in the gold and silver available in the pierced style only. This watch, worn with the new TSV jacket, is the icing on the cake. When you are at work or out with friends….. have some fun…..wear the TSV jacket with the sleeve turned back …….take a seat and put your hand nonchalantly up to your chin with the watch on your wrist……and watch all of the eyes go right to your watch…..you know you are going to be asked “where did you get that”. Wear it casually with a white shirt and jeans, or dressed in black tie. It truly is a wear anytime, anywhere piece. This is the watch you would find in Cartier or Tiffany, in a glass case on a velvet tray. In solid gold it would have a 40, 50, 60 thousand dollar price tag ….or more. Oh dear….such a beautiful watch! Please tell me the band is nickel-free? It’s just so frustrating to have a fashion watch on for a couple of hours and break out in these itchy red bumps (sorry, too much information? lol). This is so classic, I’d want to wear it all day. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Dear Dariann, I never know when the “on line only” items will be avail to buy. I was told “YES” they would be avail. and maybe even at Midnight, but don’t hold me to it. What I know for sure is…..the watches have been delivered and they have been loaded…….lock and load.

You have once again read my mental Wish List, Louis! I have been wanting a white metal watch for years and until now hadn’t seen one that I liked. Or if I liked it, I didn’t want to pay the high sticker price! LOVE the panther link, and have a heavy 18K YG Chaumet I bought years and years ago before the price of gold soared into the stratosphere. You didn’t mention the clasp. Is it a deployment clasp? And if so, can it be made smaller? My wrist is but 6″ and I always need to make any kind of a bracelet watch smaller by removing some links. Will this watch be adjustable downward?
Dear Barbara, I’m so glad you like this watch….it’s a honey! I did mention that it has an added “Clasp” link that can be removed to make it smaller. I am not sure what the term for it is? It looks like two clasps attached to each other. I should have had a separate picture of it…..sorry. Anyway it is adjustable…..and this type of watch you would want on the loose side, not where it can’t slide a little.
Thanks, Louis! I understood that the extra clasp link was to make it larger, not smaller :-). What is the circumference of the watch at its smallest? A deployment clasp is one where the clasp is invisible when closed. The metal looks like one continuous band. They usually fit me the best as a jeweler can remove links. I have two such watches, my Chaumet and a Bertolucci, both of which I have adjusted to be a bit slack. I just hope that this one will fit me!
And to further ask, these panther links can they be removed to make the watch smaller for us who have what I call ‘kid’ wrists? The watch faces are lovely– glad they are not ‘boyfriend’ style. On those of us with Petite thin wrists, ‘boyfriend’ style looks like we are playing dress up with Daddy’s watch!

I know there is a removable link in the back, but I never asked if the panther links can be remove for even a smaller fit. I can’t see why a jewelry can’t do it. It’s made like any other panther link strap. Or else plump up those wrists!!!
I do not believe this is not a deployment clasp.I believe my Rolex watch has a deployment clasp where the two long sections fold over each other and when close there is noting to show the connection, but a little logo crown. I know QVC prefers this type of closure where there are these links that can be removed or added. If I am measuring correctly???? the smallest measurement is 6 1/2 inches. However, if you need it smaller I would think the actual panther links can be removed by a jeweler. Hope this helps.

I so appreciate your sneak peeks! When I received your broadtail jacket, I knew your line was for me. I have since purchased the two way zip jacket in gray and chocolate and absolutely love them. I received advance email about the TSv and I bought the ivory and black along with the Kate shirt and scoop neck WK in the new sea green. I plan to purchase the ponte pants in ivory and black and the V-neck sleeveless tee. Oh my, and now the watch! I have two 14k ceramic watches that I love because they are sleek, edgy yet feminie. Yes, it is. I have been a long time QVC shopper and I have bought many clothing, jewelry and other items from them. I have been early retired for over six years but I always “dress up”. My taste in clothes and jewelry has evolved over the years and for some time I have been trying to become a more “classic” dresser but with a modern and feminie look. When I saw the full page picture of the model wearing your broadtail jacket in the Insider, I knew this was the look I was going for. Although I read the QVC forum I do not post but I started reading the Linea board with great interest.
Thanks to those lovely Linea ladies, I found your blog and I have been so energized by your sneak peaks and my two additional jackets that I have gone through my closet with a vengeance to finally rid myself of clothes that are no longer “me”. I have been blessed to be able to acquire a lovely collection of couture Barbara Bixby and I am pleased to report that those pieces are enhanced with your designs. I am looking forward to receiving all the things I have purchased so far and to ordering the ponte pants and some of the other items you are bringing to QVC. To let you know how excited I am about my new look I will watch your midnight show, and that says a lot since I am an early to bed and early to rise person! Dear Fran….we all are in trouble as Jac and I are both early to bed early risers too. I used to be the opposite when I was in my 20s and 30s, but this suits me better.
