…………………………There are similarities between the Maasai and the new Samburu necklaces, bracelets and earrings, but the DIFFERENCES are substantial……..The Samburu necklace is THREE ROWS of COLORFUL stripe cording, J487845…..brighter colors than the Maasai cording…….It has the same brass rings on each row, but hanging from the rings are brightly colored SHELL NUGGETS…..all in all a very colorful necklace…..very indicative of the Samburu people…..The bracelet is a CUFF style, J487843. It has FIVE ROWS of the colorful SHELL NUGGETS interspersed with GOLD BEADS. Towards the back the nuggets are replaced with smaller multi color seed beads where the cuff ends, and it divides and stretches to easily get it on and off……see photo at lower left………The pierced earring is a HOOP style, J487849. It starts at the top with one row of small seed beads, and then divides into two rows of small shell nuggets….see photos above…….For those who love to layer for a more EXOTIC look I have combined the Samburu with the three row BEACH NUGGET SHELL necklace…………..These pieces are very very special.
