………………………….The GYPSY COIN NECKLACE, J485284, and EARRING, J485282…..is part of my January 2020 offering. It will be avail in January with the BIG DEAL!!!!……………The Gypsy Coin necklace comprises of THREE ROWS of COINS. The description says they are “stamped” but they are not stamped. They are each made from individual molds. The shortest row has two size coins. The second row has larger coins added and the third row has even larger coins added to that. This gives a GRADUATED look. PLEASE NOTICE that each VALE on each coin is a different metal color, and is beautifully designed to give a hand crafted look…They are worth taking a close up look because they add so much to the entire look of the necklace…. These are put together by hand. The coins and the vales are NOT ONE PIECE. They are ALL SEPARATELY PLATED! This is a lot of hand work and specialized work that separates Linea jewelry from all others. In between the coins are very pretty variations of small beads to give the necklace an artisan hand made look. They are irregular beads that adds character to the necklace. There are THREE CHAINS from which the three rows of coins hang. They all meet in the back attached to a Lobster Claw closing which has an extender chain. The necklace comes in one color combination of mixed metal colors. The coins and the vales are in Russian Gold, Copper OX and Silver Ox…..so the necklace looks great on a variety of color tops, for both Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall……..The EARRING, has a Russian Gold Coin with a Copper Ox vale………The combination is unusual which makes the earring very special. This is not a large earring and it is very LIGHT. QVC describes the length as 2 1/2 inches which is correct, but that is a little deceiving because the lever back is included in that measurement. The lever sits in the lobe of the ear so the hanging part of the earring is shorter. If you are a coin lover or have recently become one due to my Amalfi, Roma and Trevi necklaces and earrings, this will be a great addition to add to those pieces…………..Yes, the PERFECTLY PINK MOCK NECK SHORT SLEEVE WK SWEATER IS NEW……..More about that in good time…..What I will say is that it is made in the original weight WK……………………Enjoy……………….Much Love……………………..Louis

Louis, thanks, I have sent pieces to the RI jewelry company for re-plating and they do a fantastic job! I had a nice long conversation with the owner/manager and we talked about the history of Rhode Island jewelry manufacturing, etc…lovely man.
Sheila
Louis, as a business woman, I’m here to support your jewelry company in Rhode Island! No business can survive without a profit margin. Rhode Island used to be the jewelry capital of the US, until most of the manufacturing was lost to Thailand and now China. Monet, Trifari, Coro, Sarah Coventry are a few names that come to mind. I am thrilled to support one of the last remaining jewelry businesses in Rhode Island—where my father’s family was from–even though they do manufacture in China. I had a great aunt, unmarried, born around 1890, who rose, during her 50 year tenure, to become the Comptroller of one of the big silver manufacturing companies in Rhode Island–quite an accomplishment in that era.
Loving the Gypsy Coin jewelry and will definitely be purchasing!
Dear Shelia, thanks for understanding and the support. So many companies are hanging by the skin of their teeth, big and small, that we do all we can to “maintain” our business. I am happy to say that the small RI plant still manufactures some very expensive items, and some silver. They just can’t compete with jewelry in my price range. That is one of the reasons I am very confident in suggesting to anyone who has a problem with a piece of Linea jewelry to send it there to be fixed. They will do a superb job.
Thank you, Louis. Your explanation that the images are not “stamped” but, rather, molded was not lost on me. It’s just that I suspended that info when I asked if the images were imprinted on the coins. I gathered these coins were copied from Italian coins, but I wanted to be sure.
Goldie, I can’t say from what the exact coins were inspired by as I did not supervise these small coins. My instruction was to use Roman coins as the inspiration. I left it up to the designers to create the coins which I then approved.
Forgot to ask if these are copies of Roman coins. I’m certain these are not gypsies imprinted on the metals.
Goldie….they are all new designs from Roman coins. The sizes are much smaller in general than the other necklaces.
Please don’t apologize for venting. We all do a little QVC venting around here. But truthfully, if I had not watched your jewelry FB show, I would have not been prepared to choose which color of the blossom and twisted sister necklaces to buy. Keep the jewelry shows coming!
All the sale prices on the jewelry are gone now, so I’m glad I didn’t wait to pull the trigger. I couldn’t believe my luck in snagging the blossom and twisted sister necklaces on sale. They both arrived today. I got each in the silver version. So, so pretty! Sorry if your jewelry company was screwed over, but I’m a HUGE Linea jewelry buyer, so I’m not feeling too guilty. It should be QVC that eats the cost of the mistakes, but we all know that won’t happen.
I did order the gypsy necklace and the tortoise bracelet. Excited to hear there’s a necklace to match the bracelet. It looks like Tiger’s Eye on the website. I have a lot of tiger’s eye jewelry, so I was thinking the put the new bracelet with something I already have, but I’m intrigued by the new necklace that will be introduced in January.
Merry, merry, Louis. I’m done Christmas shopping for myself now. LOL
Dear Carol….sorry for my venting! It’s all so stupid. If we, the TCJC people and Jennifer had known QVC was going to put ALL of the jewelry on SALE we would have waited to do our live face book jewelry show, and not have the ladies buy only to have them waste time calling customer service for the deduction. I would have loved to pass the sale info along. Instead we were all blindsided, and felt very stupid. I am very happy that you were all able to get what you wanted on sale!……Happy Holiday!
Just seeing these new treats for the new year this am, and what a wonderful way to introduce January! I’m particularly happy with the return of the WK mock neck T; I have that in every previous color, and it’s my first pick for under my WK cardigans. As to the so-called “sale” of this great new necklace, I must be the only one with so much to do in these last few days leading up to the hols that I missed all the drama, but I have so much Linea jewelry at this point that if I can’t be happy with what I’ve already got without needing a sale on a piece that hasn’t even been presented yet, than coal in my stocking for me. Thanks, Louis, for showing us these beautiful new things to raise our spirits at a time when not all of us are at our most jolly, I wish you a Merry Christmas with all your memories (which is what Christmas always offers us, one way or another), and enjoy the time with your family, with a better new year for us all.
A great deal for us but so very frustrating for you and your company.
Louis, I want to apologize for being negative toward the jewelry company. I guess we are all frustrated by QVC for one reason or another. I don’t know why they reposted the new jewelry; maybe they got lots of frustrated callers. But it’s not nice of them to tease Linea Ladies.
Merry Christmas to All……..
My company was very upset with them for posting the jewelry on SALE, and a month too early. My company has sales plans and depend on making a certain amount of money to have some profit which I must say is very little. When QVC just decides to post 3 items early and put them on sale my jewelry company looses money. It’s just not right. We all want a sale, but we still have a business to maintain. So you can understand when the plan is to introduce six new items for Jan, and three are put on sale in Dec. my company is upset rightly so.
They are still available and I bought the necklace and earrings
Humbug to the jewelry company. There is a whole lot of us that would have like this under our tree.
You can’t really blame the jewelry company. Someone at QVC shouldn’t have posted it now. It’s all part of a plan and a presentation for the new Big Deal. I wasn’t happy they posted it early, plus the Midas bracelet without the necklace. It’s not the way I want to introduce new pieces. There is a lot of jewelry avail ON SALE to put under the tree…..LOL
This isn’t clear to me, Louis. Did the jewelry company complain that the necklace was posted in the first place or that it was taken down? My mind has gone to cranberry mush.
Yes Goldie. These pieces were planned for Jan to go with the new Big Deal on Jan.15th. They were never supposed to be posted now and certainly not as part of there jewelry sale promotion. Someone at QVC jumped the gun as they say.
Does that mean we have hopes of purchasing it again soon — and at the sale price? Thank you for checking into this, Louis. My heart was so happy when I saw this necklace. I’m such a gypsy in my soul…
Sorry Goldie, the pieces won’t be avail until sometime in Jan. when they were supposed to be posted!!! They will NOT be on sale as these are my newest pieces for 2020. Actually, there are pieces on sale now, like the Twisted Sister, El Morocco and the Flower Blossom that were not supposed to be on sale! but with QVC’s promotion they put everything on sale. This made my customers happy but not my company. I wouldn’t be surprised if you see the prices go back where they should be in the New Year for the pieces mentioned and some of the newest! I’m just guessing.
Is that you, Santa Claus? All I can say is a HUGE “thank you” to Louis for this necklace AND Merry Christmas to me! Love it!
Louis, I went to buy it, but despite what you wrote above, it is not posted. Did QVC take it down?
Goldie. TCJC, my jewelry company called them immediately and complained about the mistake. It was there this morning and gone this afternoon…..That was FAST!
