“THE CARAMEL LEOPARD OMBRE TOP”

…………….By now I think it is well established that the OMBRE TUNIC, A263353, is an unequivocal hit. We are continuing with it, and two more new color combinations have been added…..However, I have been searching for a new Ombre print to do in the SAME FABRIC, and the SAME BODY ………and I think I have found just the right one……THE OMBRE LEOPARD PRINT, A374662….The difference is this new version has been changed from 3/4 sleeves to LONG SLEEVES!……Animal prints have been surging back. Two years ago when I said to the buyers I wanted to do animal and snake prints they looked at me like my head was in the clouds. “No” was the answer, “they aren’t happening now”….My answer was “you may not see them now, and that’s a good thing, but they will be roaring back, and it’s better to be ahead of the curve than behind it”……One has to have a 6th sense and vision to know when “is the right time” Thank the Lord I was blessed with this 6th sense. I think all good designers know when the right time is. ………The color above is called CARAMEL, but as you can see there are many shades of colors to create the ombre effect. At the very top there is a deep ivory with linen and taupe, and as you go down the body the alabaster, caramel, brown and black are introduced……With these colors a variety of bottoms colors can be used….starting at the left…..the CARAMEL Super Ponte pant…..the ALABASTER Super Ponte pant………the LINEN and BLACK crop Super Ponte pants all work perfectly, and those are just the ones I tried…..I am sure you have many pants hanging in your closets that will work just as well….like a pair of khakis or natural linen trousers…..Add your BLACK pencil skirts in WK or Super Ponte  for a dressier look……Likewise a variety of accessories can be used to change the look every time you wear it…..Again, starting at the left, the COWRIE SHELL necklace, the TAN GLITTERATI necklace and earring, the BUTTERCREAM SANTE FE necklace and earring, the BROWN TASSEL GRANDE necklace and lastly the BLACK GLITTERATI necklace and earring………and that’s just a start…….The CHOCOLATE GRECIAN necklace, earring and bracelet will look incredible too…..as will the CHOCOLATE & GOLD BISTRO MULT CHAIN necklace and earring, and the CHOCOLATE MOON GLOW necklace and earring for something a little dressier……The Black and Chocolate or the Black/Gold and Tortoise Chain Gang necklace will also add a strong punch to the Leopard top………..I am sure you will love this new version of the ombre Leopard top as you have with the original version, and I know you will enjoy all the different ways to wear and accessorize it…………The question will be which color……or colors to choose……..THIS TOP WILL BE FEATURED THIS COMING MONDAY, 2/24 on PM STYLE on QVC1……………….

enjoy……………….much Love…………………….Louis

Jackie, sometimes we have to take a break and try new things.

I am all over this one – green and blue for sure. Care and wear on these tops does not get easier and I am happy with the print as it is something different from the other 4 ombre tops I own. Louis, I LOVE the pebble crepe tops. Are there any new styles coming spring/summer?

Louis, this is so me. I love animal print – it never goes out of fashion in my closet, LOL. I will be getting these.

Louis, that is one sophisticated leopard print!!!!!! Leave it to you.

    Hi Louis,

I love the new animal print tops. However I am not a fan of the high low hem, do you think a seamstress could even out the hem without destroying the beauty of the top. I am short so if I lose some of the. hem it would not matter.

    Thanks, Pat

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes Pat….you can do it. Since the print is basically matched at the side seam, when you even out the hem the back will look like the front. You won’t even notice the change because it’s at the back

All three colors look like winners!
I have never found a good animal print so a I’ve stayed away in the past.
No more- these are all great. I’m liking all three to coordinate with the pants I have
ordered from you. I received my yellow v neck whisper knit yesterday to complete my haul of all
four colors. I was thinking that I could layer over one of these. Always giving us versatile items- thanks.
I’m definitely getting the caramel to go with my new bistro necklace.

Sarah…the caramel and the Bistro will look like they were made for each other. I too am a stickler when it comes to animal prints. I’ve seen so many ugly cheap looking animal prints that it can turn you off. That’s why I am very careful about the ones I work on. I can tell you each is a gem!

Louis, you never disappoint! oxoxox Cat

Good morning Louis. Truth be told, I have never, ever, liked animal prints in all their incarnations through the years. However, this caramel one is so lovely that you’ve made a convert of me! I look forward to seeing how you style it on the models on 2/24, and how it might work on my petite frame. Once again you have opened my eyes to new possibilities! What would we do without your sixth sense? Love and blessings to you!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Pamela…It will be styled as you see it in the photo with the caramel pant which I believe has been reordered for this fall in reg and petite. If you own the other ombre top this is the same except the long sleeve.
