……………………There is no way any photos are going to show the depth, richness and luster of the ESPRESSO SHANTUNG. The photos at the upper left and extreme right are the best for color. Espresso is so deep it becomes a neutral. I didn’t take any pictures of the espresso with different colors [I was in a rush to get these out to you], but pick a color…..AQUA, CORAL, TURQUOISE, LIME, FUCHSIA, HOT PINK, MINT, PINK, PALE BLUE etc etc etc, and wear them under the Espresso jacket. Ivory or linen or light tan bottoms will work with all of them……I also love the Linea Navy with espresso just to change it up, and espresso with black is always chic [as the chocolate and black link short necklace third photo in from the right]…..To CHANGE IT UP you should have a variety of necklaces so every time you wear this jacket it will look fresh and new……..I have 4 different necklaces above, but could have gone on and on. …..Yes, here is a new DOUBLE LAYER ESPRESSO pant in the photos at the extreme left…. for those of you with an eagle eye!……………….Ladies if you like your ESPRESSO with a chaser of DARK CHOCOLATE………………..this is the jacket for you!………………………enjoy……………..much Love……………Louis

Good day Louis,
Will the expresso jacket play well with the expresso pull on super ponte pant? The above comment from Kate #4, your shows will not be on in the future, what does that refer to?
Dear Seyma. It’s a rainy cloudy day today so it’s difficult to look at colors. To my eye today they can be worn together, though the pant has a touch more yellow and the jacket a touch more red, but neither is extreme. It would be difficult in any case to get a perfect match to the shantung which takes dyes so differently. The same standard was given to both fabric mills. As i always say when fabrics from different factories in different areas of the vast country come out matching it’s a miracle…….I’m not sure what Kate is referring to other then ALL QVC2 shows are canceled except for BIG DEAL SHOWS…..As of now Linea has a new QVC1 show scheduled on March 31st at 1:00am, 10:00pm on the west coast. For April as of now, Linea has confirmed shows on the 28th QVC1 at 2pm, and at 5pm on QVC2 [this show hasn’t been canceled yet so I can only assume they are waiting to see how things go]. We also have a QVC1 2am show on April 30th……
Can easily see this belted, too.
Maybe with the long Chain gang version, or
The sassy Bistro. Just an after thought.
Yes, Cela it would look great belted!
I was wondering how the combinations on the left
would look with the Caramel faux suede pants.
First of Spring is cool enough for suede and chic , too.
I’m loving this color to pieces. I love your suggestion of pairing it with
navy as a new take, on Nautical
Cela…..the espresso would look great with the caramel faux suede and possibly with the espresso faux suede.
Hello Louis…Back in the 60’s, I saw a magazine layout with Summer outfits in brown and white. To my young teenage eyes, it looked wonderful. This brings it all back. Classic and sophisticated. And perfect for this still young-at-heart older lady.
Could you post a picture of the buttercream pants below that espresso jacket with a buttercream tank? I can imagine it, but I think others would like seeing it.
Hi Louis, curious about the DOUBLE LAYER ESPRESSO pant. Is it the straight leg or the flowy pant leg, I assume it is the flowy pant. If not the flowy pant, is it a full length pant? Also, will you have a top to match the ivory or the espresso shantung jacket?
Dear Lynn….it is a crepe gauze flowy pant, not palazzo by any stretch of the imagination but wide enough to have the two layers flow gracefully…It is full length with the under layer being slightly shorter, so you can only see the contrast color from the side high slit….I did not do an ivory or espresso top to match the jackets, but you should look through your Linea ivory clothes and you will probably find a match. I used the ivory v-neck tank with the ribbed bottom, and it was close in color. I actually wouldn’t want a matching espresso top because the difference in the fabrics could make it look like a miss-match. I did try the espresso moss crepe tunic with the 3/4 sleeve and side slits, but as I said they didn’t match. Personally I much prefer a contrast under the espresso to really make the jacket color stand out. It looks dull espresso on espresso unless it was a tank with skin showing and lots of necklaces. There are so many colors that look good with espresso.
Ooh Louis, I am looking forward to hearing about the double layer Espresso pants!
Louis
Thanks for the sneak peek! Can’t wait for those pants to arrive. Off to buy the espresso jacket now.
Michelle
Good morning, Louis !
Cannot wait to receive the espresso shantung jacket. I currently own the pink and love, love, love it.
Please stay well and take good care of yourself.
Good Morning Louis!
I had ordered all three colors this past weekend sight unseen as I already have the original three colors and LOVE this piece! It is an absolute stunner and so versatile!!! I am eagerly anticipating my delivery! As you mentioned, the espresso pants previewed in your pictures caught my eye, please do tell more!!! Predictably, I had to get the sapphire slim ankle pants to go with my new jacket (told you I was OCD.) I’ve been on the fence with the Grecian chocolate necklace and the Midas necklace with tiger eye beads…what’s a girl going to do?!?! I already have the blue Pompeii necklace which looks stunning with the sapphire jackets 🤗 And I know all my coin jewelry will be a show-stopper with the ivory jacket.
Of course, the main concern is that everyone stays healthy and safe in these trying times! Although disappointed that your shows will not be on this week nor the foreseeable future, with these tumultuous times it is imperative that we all selflessly adhere to social distancing to keep ourselves and our loved ones (especially the most vulnerable ones) safe!
To you Louis, Jennifer, the entire Linea team as well as the loving Linea Ladies community, please be cautious and safe!
All the best,
Kate
Kate…..all I can say about the Midas necklace and the Grecian pieces is that they are beautifully made and are great pieces to own. My philosophy is you can never have enough accessories to change things up, or I would stop designing them.
Gorgeous – I went right over to the Q and bought the espresso. Thank you so much for posting the pictures!
Ordered the espresso jacket to go with my espresso wide leg printed pant A351470. Can’t wait, it is going to be so comfy and classic!
Espresso for me!
