……………………Many of you have asked if the Espresso Shantung jacket worked with this and that, so with time on my hands thanks to everyone being restricted to their homes, I thought I would make some pics and post them………From left to right….The ESPRESSO JACKET with the BLUE MOSS CREPE short sleeve top and scoop neckline, A353387 [love the pop of color, an any color will work!], and the ESPRESSO FLORAL CROP PANT, A351474 R, A352729P [on clearance at a great price]……This pant has all FIVE STARS!!!! With that the three pieces in the CHOCOLATE GRECIAN group, necklace J485280, earring J485278 and bracelet J485276……..PERFECTION…….next COLOR BLOCKING with the same Moss Crepe Blue top and WHITE SUPER PONTE CAPRI PANTS, A351410 [a terrific proportion with the jacket]. Again, the Chocolate accessories……Last, the Espresso top worn as a SHIRT with the ESPRESSO WOOD BLOCK print gauze pant A351470R, A351471P, [on clearance at a fabulous price…petites are limited], and the Chocolate accessories. I think it looks very exotic together…..very Balinese!………………There really are so many ways to wear this Espresso color, and so many colors and prints look great with it. I’ve only scratched the surface……………………enjoy……………..much Love …………….Louis

How DESIGNER ! ! ! I love all THREE looks and I already have the blue top. This looks like perfect travel wear, even if we are “traveling” in our own back yards for now . These are all big defenses for the chocolate necklace. It’s an elegant change from the obligatory black and white
Spectator spring look. Brown and white, yes! Why not?
Thanks for showing this jacket with the wood block print pants. I have both these and the blue, and they are favorites. Carol’s comment about Roz Russell was SO true; I just watched “Mame”, and it was a breath of fresh air in these terrible times. What a wonderful comic actor she was. I still have that scrummy jacquard jacket in the cocoa that you gave us many years ago that looks well with the espresso pants for something a little bit dressy, and I also own the blue shantung safari style jacket, also an oldie but goody, which is a great match for the navy pair, but I like the look of this new espresso jacket as a top, half-buttoned over these pants with some embroidered slippers. I think I’ll skip the turban, though. Stay safe.
Louis,
Woooooohoooo what great pearls of wisdom from you!
I agree……just knowing I can’t get out is unsettling……..but so far finding enough to keep busy with…….do they any rental pets? Your girls are good company and they know nothing about this awful virus……..guess I can go with my husband to check the cows!
Now….that sounds like fun! It’s always great to be around animals. Do you have any horses to ride?
Louis,
I am loving all of these looks……I have them all except for the blue top……I am thinking I will sub another color for the top and I have the Grecian necklace in the green and also the green fish (verde?)…….maybe pink or dill or just cream color? Trying to shop my closet but I may be lured by the blue and then I have the brown moon glow……..I can ponder today while I am observing the stay at home request and it is raining AGAIN! No more yard work for a few days😒
When they say we may not go out to eat after this is over……..we are just waiting for the all clear sign and I will be the best dressed patron in all my Linea attire! Also, I will be glad to hang up my apron for a while😋
I would like some suggestions for the ivory jacket also…….the tie dye boho or the dill lace pants or the new embroidered skirt?
Looking forward to brighter days ahead!
Dear Becky…..on most days I’m home by myself with the girls so this being at home isn’t so unusual for me, but when you have to it’s more about the mental anguish…….When it comes to the Ivory jacket…EVERYTHING WILL WORK! Start with the basics…black and ivory….red, ivory, navy [nautical 4th of July]….ivory with your neutrals….linen, tan, chino, grey, dill, olive, browns, blues etc.etc. Then add color. Tops in EVERY COLOR with a neutral bottom or a wonderful color bottom if you are good with mixing colors. Then add print tops and bottoms…….Ivory is the most neutral color you can wear wear. It can go casual with jeans or Capri jeans in all washes. It will look great with novelty bottoms like the lace pant in all of the colors, and yes all of the Bohos, print and solid especially the tie dye. It can go very dressy, for example with the emb. skirts, or the black sequin pant. The ivory shantung jacket is a piece you can wear spring summer fall and winter so it’s a good investment
This is the way I generally wear clothes; with a solid and a print.
Thanks so much, Louis, for the pictures! I have all the pieces you posted and have been looking at my pieces and the espresso jacket goes so many pieces but I wouldn’t have thought of the sapphire top. It is so good to see how you put the different colors and styles together. Your expertise in all areas is why my closets are full of your Linea pieces—I’m hard to fit but your pieces fit so well, are comfortable, are a pleasure to wear and elicit so many compliments because they are so beautiful. Thanks again!!
Louis I just got the espresso home two days ago and it’s such a beauty. I have all the pieces you’re showing in these photos, including the jewelry. I cannot wait to wear these. The Balinese look reminds me of something Ros Russell might have worn as Auntie Mame. It would be perfect to wear to dinner in Hawaii.
I also bought the ivory jacket. Do you think you could do a collage with that in your spare time??? I have the hardest time making a white/ivory jacket work as a separate.
Carol
LOL….Ros Russell would be wearing a turban with a huge feather and a dark topaz pin on it.
Such fun to see you do combos! Thanks for keeping us inspired and entertained!
The Espresso looks amazing with the White Pants!
