……………………………Jac and I both love Hydrangeas……..Over the years we have planted 52 bushes……..I have learned that every other year Hydrangeas bloom profusely…It seems the year they aren’t as abundant they are saving their flowers for the next season to come………This is their year and their season, and they are making a show of it in all of their glory!………………………………
enjoy………………………much Love…………………Louis
Louis, Your Blog – with your posts, stories and photos – whether they be about you and beautiful Jac – or your amazing home and gardens – or your fabulous Sneak Peeks – it’s a calming and gratifying place to visit.

Louis, you look like a man who was smitten-made me smile.
Oh Louis – I am laughing at my typo! I meant a new hydrangea KNIT top. Amazing that you are done with Spring 2021…. add it to the list for 2022?? 🥰
Susan
Dear Louis, Your hydrangeas are stunning! I have an “Endless Summer” that is spectacular this year. And I have a classic, white hydrangea that is so large it looks like a small tree. It was on my property when I bought it many years ago so I know it is quite old. I love seeing your gardens and the photograph of you with Jac make it extra special! Thank you for sharing your life and gardens. Ruth
Louis
Thanks so much for sharing- I’ve tried several times to grow
the hydrangeas and no luck- I think too much humidity.
Thanks to you I’m getting to enjoy them.
Sarah
Dear Louis,
Your gardens are always magnificent, and the hydrangeas are stunning. There were always lots in Ocean City, NJ; they like the sea air. Walter’s uncle was a master at encouraging huge displays of blooms, and knew the tricks to improving or even changing the colors. My sister has HUGE oak leaf hydrangeas; she didn’t realize how big those would get LOL. When I visited her the other day she had the cutest one in full bloom; a miniature. It was filled with little mop heads in pinks, purples and blues; lovely!
Thank you so much for posting such beauty; the best photo was in the center of the collage :).

Such a beautiful garden. I love hydrangeas also!
Louis – perhaps you could revive it in a new knot top for spring 2021? It is just so happy!!
Susan
Susan….excuse my ignorance, but what’s a knot top? Spring 2021 is already finished!
I love hydrangeas too. I have 1 oakleaf ‘Pee Wee’ which has fragrant white flowers; then I have some lace caps ‘Purple Tiers’ and ‘Wedding Gown’ — the ‘Wedding Gown’ has white double lace cap flowers and the ‘Purple Tiers’ has purple flowers. I have 2 ‘Bluebird’ lace caps and one pom pom called ‘Pistachio’. Flower amounts are determined by 2 things — not pruning in late fall which removes the buds for up coming year and if we have a cold late winter — that kills buds too.
Regards,
Chris
Delightful Louis! Reminds me of that gorgeous hydrangea group you did years ago. I grew out of it, but squirreled it away for a healthier day. That day has come and I am enjoying the skirts, tops and jackets all over again! The navy color-way, with pale pinkish blooms is still my favorite. Truly lovely!
Susan
Susan that was one of my all time favorite prints. The print was done so well on that beautiful cotton. I’m so glad to hear you fit into them and can get even more enjoyment from them. I have my samples stored in a storage facility. I just couldn’t part with them….
They are incredible flowers with blooms that MULTIPLY LIKE RABBITS. LOVE the colors.
Truly glorious garden! So nice to see such beauty in the world.
Simply breathtaking Louis!
Thanks for sharing your garden, it’s a special treat!

I love Hydrangeas also. I have 2 huge Oakleaf hydrangeas, and other various smaller ones. I also like the Twilight hydrangeas, and the lime… I have one now in a pot that is waiting to be planted… My hydrangeas are blooming now too!
That photo of you and Jac is heart warming and shows such deep love. You are a lucky man. The Hydrangeas are lovely and the garden so calming. I miss not being able to grow them in my climate. I admire your garden for being so natural without the typical flat topping and squaring off of bushes. Enjoy your Sunday!
designista….I prefer my garden a little on the wild side! LOL
True love and adoration. Thanks for sharing.
Simply gorgeous!
Thank you for sharing this beautiful and touching collage.
