There were a few tries…too red…too blue…too brown…too light….too dark, but in the end they hit the nail on the head…….This is a DARK SUMMER PLUM color…..You know when you go to the grocers or the fruit stands at the farmers market, and the dark plums are piled high. Dear Shelia….it’s a little early for footwear. The fall lines aren’t out yet. If I see something I will let you all know. I will say that Sam Edleman does a color in suede called oatmeal that just might look good with the Bisque. I have used different shoe styles from him in this color in the past. It’s worth a look see. There is a beautiful classic pump.

A grateful thank you. Now I understand and maybe all of the information you gave may help someone else too. My game plan will be to head to Q and read their TV show schedules. I’d forgotten that they post them. It should be easy. The new colors are beautiful and the trench fabric that you are using is a dream to wear and it feels good on the body. I’ve purchased so much of the Linea line that it is becoming evident (finally! it took a while!) as to what really works on me. The new pieces will be long time keepers. Thank you for sharing your talent. My life is becoming more wonderful because of it.
Louis, thanks very much for the suggestion! Jac always looked stunning in everything she wore and I used to watch what colors you styled her in to get a sense of what would work for me, even though my skin is not as fair and my hair just a shade darker than hers. I have in years past gotten my makeup done at the beginning of the fall season and for special black tie/charity events, and you’re right, it makes a big difference. Having a professional work their magic can work wonders. I don’t have that ability. My favorite independent makeup artist retired, so I’ll have to check out the department stores. Once our Covid infection numbers flatten out in Colorado, I will go and bring along the plum tank. I love the color and so drawn to it that I cannot pass it up 🙂
Grace maybe you can get in touch with the make up artist to see if there is someone she can recommend. Also it might be better to wear the tank when you go for colors.
Would you please verify when the BD is scheduled to air? The “pages” “important dates” have listed it as cancelled. It would be a great disappointment if I missed a single Linea on air presentation. Thanks and glad the storm was kind to your beautiful area.
Dear Carolyn….I don’t want to be vague, so this is what I know. The Big Deal was scheduled to be on QVC2. Everyone was notified that QVC2 as a live channel was canceled. We were never officially notified that the Big Deal would be moved to the scheduled QVC1 shows so at this point since we do have a QVC1 shows on the 18th and 19th I would think that is when they will be shown. I would start looking the morning of the 18th. I doubt they will premiere them at 2:00am on the 18th, but with QVC you never know. They will probably repeat the videos of the shows on QVC2, but I don’t know that for sure. You can always look at the QVC2 guide and see if there are any Linea shows scheduled?

This color is so very lovely Louis! I keep waffling between the turtleneck or the tank, but then I think that maybe both would get some use? I am more of a skirt girl so think I will go with the WK skirt. I don’t wear blazers too often, but I am looking at this one. Excited to see the other colors.

This color is so versatile. I held the tank up to my some of your past grey pieces, as well as LINEA navy. They are all beautiful! Of course, a column of color is always a favorite!

Grace if you are so inclined….take one of the plum pieces like the tank or sleeveless TN, and bring it to a make up counter where they have women who do makeup, one that you trust! Ask her for suggestions of makeup colors for your skin and hair color that will look good with the Plum color. You may be surprised! You may have a new look in store for you. I am of the belief that anyone can wear any color if they are wearing the right makeup colors. Jac was great at that. No one was paler or had lighter blond hair than Jac. She had years of experience working with the best makeup artists who created different looks for each collection they did. I’ve see it time and again transformations of the way the models looked with a lip color a blush color and an eye shadow. A friend of Jac’s works with a makeup artist, a friend of Aaron’s who cut Jac’s hair. Every season she takes Nancy, who is a light blond with pale skin, to Bergdorfs to “do” her colors of the season. It may be eye opening for you…..no pun intended.
