We love the snow…..especially when we don’t have to drive down to or from QVC! Just last week, before the news of the impending blizzard, I said to Jac…..”after we get home from the shows I hope we get snow”. Be careful what you wish for! We spent a cozy evening by the fire, watching things we had taped and hadn’t gotten a chance to see. The expected SURGE never happened……thank God……at least not where I live. We went to bed and it was still snowing…..I was hoping for a few feet…..I mean after 12 inches of snow…..what’s a few more!? That’s Franco in the pic with Jac…..he is our landscaper and snow plower……our general go to guy. As you can see the girls had a blast!……………..For all my friends who were affected by the snow…..be careful out there…..there is plenty of ICE under all the pretty white stuff!……………..much Love, Louis

Louis,
I love your snow pictures. I got quite a kick out of the girls. Our Westies always loved the snow but being white they sometimes disappeared!
I wanted you to know that I received the ivory and tobacco tanks and the petite ivory pants. I love them so much I bought the black along with another WK tie top in black. The tobacco tank works really well with the OTO bamboo sweater. I wore the Iris swing jacket to a luncheon yesterday and I think it enabled my friends to purchase it as well. Once you get hooked on Linea you just can’t help yourself!
I am anxiously awaiting the matching shrugs to the tanks. I do hope there is a reorder of the tanks since most sizes are sold out and I would like to add the black in a medium. Looking forward to your March 4 visit. Trusting that you, Jac and the girls are well, best, Fran.
Dear Fran…..I am so pleased you liked everything. You know it takes a full year for something that has been reordered to be produced and reshipped. If the tank gets reordered and that’s if the returns aren’t high, then it has a chance…..if not keep stalking. I understand some bought the wrong size so there may be some returns.
I loved the snow pictures, especially the furballs frolicking in the snow. When our blind dog with the handicapped legs was with us, we couldn’t let him go out in the snow for fearing he’d get stuck and injure his frail legs. So we trained him to use pads in the garage! Amazing blind boy, he could feel the texture of the pads with his paws and knew exactly where to go! We were lucky this time by the Bay and we didn’t get any snow to speak of, just a few flakes that didn’t amount to anything at all. Glad you made it home safe and sound– Blinddogs
Louis,
Am very upset, received this email from QVC
I ordered the product at midnight. It seems there are many of us with the same problem.
Dear Pris
Thanks for your order placed on 02/07/13 for: (1) Black,Linea by Louis Dell’Olio Three Bu (Item# A232344). Unfortunately, we’re unable to ship your order as promised, and we’re sorry. We’re working to obtain additional inventory to fulfill your order.
Dear Pris,
I am so sorry to hear this. I hope you realize that this is so out of my control. I have absolutely no idea why orders placed at midnight, the night before the show, are not honored??? I have forwarded your post to my buyers, thought this is not their department either……I just thought they should know this.
Yes, I know you have no control, I wanted to apprise you of the situation. I have emailed QVC and have requested a response from the appropriate department. This may be a blessing in disguise. It seems many of us are complaining to QVC about their order process, and the lack of adequate product. It seems that items ordered at midnight are the problem. It would seem the first orders would be secure, but apparently not.
I have questioned “them” about before, but it seems the same thing happens over and over. You would think the midnight orders would be deducted from the total and maybe they are, but it looks like they wait for after the show and everyone is in the same pool. I have no idea how it is decided who gets what. You would think, first come first served, but that does not seem to be the case.
Wonderful news! The black jacket was shipped on 2/18.
QVC did not notify me as promised, I found out by checking my orders.
You can forward my post, too. I placed an order shortly after midnight for the blazer in black and ivory, the tank in black and ivory, the denim skirt in indigo and the drawstring dress in slate blue.
The dress was shipped the next day. The denim skirt and black blazer were shipped yesterday. And I’ve received emails from QVC telling me that they were unable to ship the ivory blazer and tanks because of “unexpected quantity or quality issues.”
I’m pretty frustrated. I can’t watch and rarely can order during your shows, because my work days are usually jam-packed. And I couldn’t order before, during or after your 6PM show because I had a client dinner.
If QVC fulfilled orders in the same order in which they were placed, there wouldn’t be these problems. And I know you can’t control that. I’m just venting.
But honestly, between the hassle of not enough inventory and now the “wheel of fortune” approach to order fulfillment … I’m kinda vexed.
OK, I’ve vented. I absolutely loved the clothes I ordered, so I’ll hope for the best.
Dear enjay…..my buyer has already spoken to Customer Service about this. I don’t know what will change if anything. To me it seems the whole process needs an over haul. I honestly don’t know if there is any advantage of ordering at midnight????
Louis,
Glad to hear and see all is well with you, Jac and the girls. Your home in snow is a Winter Wonderland. The landscape is so magical when blanketed like that. When you first go out it’s so silent, almost a hush…Although you may be able to hear the ocean. Beautiful collage. I showed the photos to my husband Chris. Thank you for sharing!
Julia
Dear Louis and Jac,
Thanks so much for posting the SNOW photos; Walter had to come look; he was worried about you as well as my cousin further east in CT … besides, as a skier, he loves to see great piles of snow LOL. He burst out laughing over the photo of the girls 🙂 We made do with about 5 inches of snow, and no wind. SO glad there was no storm surge though. I love watching the ocean … Enjoy the fire, and the snow 🙂

You beware of the ice under the snow, too! Have your buddy Franco load up the woodpile and keep all of your creative parts intact for the rest of the winter!
So beautiful! Looking at your plowed driveway reminded me of the first winter we were in Southern Maryland. We were on eight acres of land with a quarter of a mile long driveway. And had 28″ of snow that came up from the South dumped on us! We were just getting settled in and didn’t know many people there as yet so had to wait several days before a farmer could come to plow us out. No one minded! OG couldn’t possibly get in to work nor could my step son there for the weekend get back home and to school! We had a fun time! Enjoy!!!!
Really enjoyed these pictures, the girls look like they are having a great time. I love looking at snow like this, it is beautiful. You live in a lovely setting. Stay safe and warm.
Haha, look at all that! Chicago has missed all the snow this year and my guess is the East Coast got all of ours in one day! Glad you are all safe. I coud sit and look out over the ocean forever….truly a magnificent home.:)
My sentiments about looking at the sea too…..I am never bored….it is constantly changing…..However, I think we on the north east, have had our share of weather to last quite a while.
Weather channel was showing radar and this storm looked like a winter hurricane. Indeed, the storms out there have been extreme with so much damage and hardship.
I guess we know how Jac keeps those arms toned!

Thanks much for the beautiful photos of snow, something I really miss. I especially enjoyed seeing the snow with the sea as a backdrop.
You didn’t wear eyeglasses in the shows. Back to contacts? I trust that means your eyes have healed well from the auto accident? I sure hope so.
Hi Sonia….actually I don’t wear contacts…..could never get used to them and my vision wasn’t really bad enough. I am nearsighted and only wear glasses if I am tired……don’t need them to re3ad either. The eyes are doing well, but there is still swelling under them….it looks like I have bags under my eyes. The remaining black and blue is easily hidden with the spay on make up they use at QVC. Basically all is well…..thank you.
These pictures are spectacular!!! Thanks so much for posting. I’ve lived in So. Calif. for most of my life, but did live in Colorado for 9 years. Brings back memories!!!! Glad you are all safe. Enjoy the beauty of it for as long as it lasts!!

I love snow pictures – your collage really shows how pretty all the whites, grays and blues are. Oh, and the 3 little spots of black! So cute.
Dear Louis,
Believe it or not, I was hoping you would post snow pictures. I’m happy you did not get the surge, for the sake of you and everyone else nearby.
Jac continues to look good in whatever she puts on her svelte self, you look tickled, the girls are obviously enjoying making dents in the snow and Franco — what can I say? Your landscaper has style! Truly, I love the way he has attired himself. That jaunty scarf around his neck is colorful.
All in all, a charming picture. Thank you for letting us have such intimate peeks into your life.
What, no coats for the girls? You could start a new clothing line. So funny in the deep snow. Thanks for posting these beautiful photos.
They are wearing black fur coats…..when thy come in they get rubbed down with nice warm towels.
My written comments didn’t convey the intended irony very well. Sorry. Yes, they certainly do have lovely fur coats. I have no doubt they are very pampered pooches…. just as they deserve.
