    Dear Louis,
You are spot on, nobody designs a collection with so many coordinating pieces and the price! What I use to pay for St.John knits, I shudder at the thought. Your Whisper Knit fabric is so beautiful, refine, and washable.
Well fitting designs and beautiful fabrics. I can’t wait for those cheetah blouses. I hope they will be available on the fourteenth. In this dire time you are so dear.

  2. Sheesh

Yes! I’m with you, Seka and Grace! I adore the Whisper Knit fabric and I can never get enough. I often buy duplicates of some items to make sure I have fresh backups–especially tanks that do a lot of double duty! Sheila

    Dear Louis —

Many thanks for another LLL video! Very much appreciated! And always educational.

Your 70+ inch couture necklace looks amazing! And the toppers too. I love how you mixed caramel and turquoise. You truly are a master of color and design.

Thanks again. I hope you are safe, healthy, and well.

    Hi Louis!
I love your videos and your beautifully tailored jackets. So well done!
I bought the blazer last year & can’t wait to wear it.
Houston weather may actually cooperate this fall.
Tonight the temperature may dip to 57!
Anytime you can make fall clothes for the Houston market, (fall colors- but light weight fabrics) I will buy them.
Please keep posting your videos. You have so much to share.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
    Happy thoughts!

Yep, Whisper Knit can’t be beat! I didn’t order doubles, but I did get the Big Deal cardigan, midi skirts, sleeveless turtlenecks and tanks in every color, plus the matching jewelry.

  6. Seka

I actually prefer the fabrics/knits Louis uses. I don’t want the ‘real’ silk, wool, cashmere….I don’t even like 100% cotton.

I love the ‘real’ look and feel of the Linea fabrics/knits – and they are easy wear, easy care. I used to be in and out of the dry cleaners every week – picking up and dropping off.

Whisper Knit is my all time favourite! When the Big Deal Cardigan, Long Skirt and Sleeveless T-Neck were posted – I ordered doubles of all colours for all 3 items.

I’m ready for the TCF Topper Big Deal!

Dear Louis, this was another great video from you & Lou. I like that you reiterated the polyester lesson. You have taught us well over the years that not every poly is the same! I now notice how much of the designer clothing with big price tags are poly!! High end poly, but poly! Your fabrics are wonderful and I confess that I’ve purchased at least one of every jacket you’ve created this season. I have both colors of the “hoodie” jacket, the riding jacket in bisque & black, the plaid in pine and the tweed in bisque/grey. I will be getting the topper in at least two basic colors–ivory and black–plus one or two other colors–red and/or sapphire. I actually want them all. I’m looking forward to the WKs and the new colors of the faux suede pants. Oh, and the blazer in navy! My list has been ridiculously long, but I wear and enjoy every piece of clothing I’ve purchased from your line. Nothing compares!

  8. Melissa W

Yes Louis. You have always advised me well. I will get the red/navy tartan too. 😊

You are so right about the toppers being special investment pieces. That being said, I can’t go wrong with ivory and black.

Thank you so much for your advice!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Melissa you will love the toppers in ivory and black….and every time you wear them it will be such a dramatic look even if you wear them with just a tee and jeans and some fabulous necklace like the Maasai. I’m very happy you are getting those two colors….I know you will be thrilled with them

  9. Melissa W

Wonderful informative video! I appreciate that you share all the special details you put into your pieces. I got a Talbots catalog in the mail the other day and was thumbing through it. I was noticing all the blazer offerings. None of them could compare to yours of course, and they were more than twice the price!

I got one of your jacquard hoodies, two riding blazers, the pine plaid, and the bisque tweed. I am so glad you talked me into the beautiful bisque (not just the jacket but the tank, cardigan and matching jewelry).

After watching this video, I think I’m going to have to pick up the navy/red tartan plaid too. It is such a special timeless blazer that’ll look good with the sapphire blouse and the upcoming red wrap top. And as much as I wear jeans, I think I’d really kick myself for not getting it.

And, I need to assess how much I’d wear this topper in FL and with what. I said before I need the sapphire, but considering the ivory or black too.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Melissa….you know I always tell you when you should hold back, when I think you’re going overboard, but this time I’m telling you, from what you have said, you should get the red/navy tartan and wear it with a tank, a tee and jeans…..even crop or ankle jeans and wedges. The Topper you will wear totally unzipped like a cardigan…..again with dress ponte pants, jeans and crop or ankle length jeans and Ponte pants, and sandals and wedges. To keep it casual wear it with tees, cotton shirts…..and sweaters like my scoop necks, short sleeve, sleeveless versions or tanks. These are investment pieces. They are special pieces that will last a lifetime.

  10. Andrea

Thank you, Louis! That is very helpful; I will go in that direction. The actual jacket is with my neighbor who lives behind me and also happens to be a talented seamstress; she is going to shorten the sleeves for me (I am only 5’2″). My neighbor is busy with wedding dresses, so I may not get the jacket back for a little bit. I think it is so exciting, though, that weddings (albeit smaller) are resuming again, so I can’t complain 🙂

  11. Andrea

Hi Louis, Thanks for the wonderful video and thanks for reviewing all of the recent jackets at the end. I have bought 3 of your jackets since August! I do so appreciate all of the photos on your blog. I revisit the often when deciding what to wear. My husband and I went out for our 20 year anniversary on Saturday and I wore your super Ponte slim pants in black with a black blouse (too hot for a jacket), and my husband said I looked great.

I was wondering if you could tell me how you would style the pine multi Tartan jacket with jeans. What color denim and shirt under the blazer would work best? Or would it work at all? There are a lot of gray jeans this fall, but I didn’t know if that would be not quite a match, but too little of a contrast. In jeans, are traditional blue jeans the safest bet? Many thanks!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Andrea……I don’t have grey jeans so I’m not sure how they will look. I would say black denim jeans to be safe, and regular jeans go with everything. As for shirts….a white or pink button down cotton shirt will look good with jeans…..I don’t know what you already own, but I did do the solid magenta shirt, and v neck sweater to go with the blazer as well as the floral print blouse which can look very “Sundance” with the right jewelry. You really should lay the blazer on the bed with the pant you want to coordinate and start to pull things and see how they work…..you may surprise yourself. I also love men’s cotton fine pin stripe shirts mixed with plaids. Jac used to buy small men’s shirts because she loved how they were made, and she could find interesting stripes in great colors that just weren’t avail in women’s departments

  12. Shay

    Good morning, Louis!
I love the videos! I always learn something; always enjoy listening to your perspective, and of course, revel in gorgeous clothes and jewelry! This is all a bright spot in a dark time for me and for us all. Thanks.

  13. Rudewarr

    Good Morning Louis,

First I have state, your sneak peek pictures of your fabulous creations always whet my appetite as the designs are So stunningly classic and timeless, then you add your detailed Two-Lou/ Three- L videos and it just reiterates my “need” to have them. Only problem: what colors to get? I have already established that the black and ivory toppers are a must (both will look great with your wonderful double layer pants)… but the caramel, sapphire and scarlet red… I have so many Linea pieces that will coordinate perfectly! Decisions, decisions. Yes, I too have a naughty bench in my house because of my Linea obsession and rapidly depleting closet space yet EVERY time I walk out my bedroom dressed in your clothing, my family always state how great I look and similar to Sarah’s comments, I ask “Who is it?” and their reply is “Louis of course!” You have become apart of my family (and friends) as my personal designer/stylist. I always look and feel amazing when you dress me and I know the other Linea ladies feel the same way which is why you have such a devoted following!

But I digress, what other color(s) will I get? Yes, depends on the price but it always ends up with me caving in and getting all the colors 😊

Thank you for the comprehensive videos! They are not only informative but truly entertaining as well as you are just a gem!

    Have a great day!

    Kate

  14. cfft

Oh thank you for this video, I have confirmed my colour choices for the topper and am very excited about the Compass Necklace!

  15. Joanne C

    Louis
Thanks for this video. I already purchased one in each of your category of jackets except Topper – still deciding on color. I wore the bisque/charcoal jacket last night with my bisque pants and tank. I wore the three strand gray necklace with it. Jacket is so lovely.

My question is about your comment about upcoming beaded pants. Are they only coming in Midnight Blue or also in Black?

    Thank you

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Joanne….the sequin pant is returning in BLACK, and the new color is MIDNIGHT BLUE….there will also be a new sequin top to go with both pants and some additional separates that will look great as well…..All coming in early Nov……I hope!

  16. Carolyn tx

Wow. A delight to hear and see the considerations you take when designing a jacket and it educated me which is greatly appreciated. I can’t sew a stitch but the construction process always captures my attention. Well I said no more black jackets but .. point well taken – different design, timeless design, works with any neckline, etc. For me the ivory is mandatory and maybe/probably the black too. Because of the diversity of the jackets this season, I have 7. It seems ridiculous but each one will be worn. Jackets are my favorite garment. And our TX temps will drop this week on three mornings – in the high 50’s. For us that is – pull out the blazers and sweaters weather. Can’t wait. Oh – the sequin pant. I’ve got your black but the midnight blue – may have to have them. Black & dark navy so similar and so different! Thank you, take care, stay healthy.

    Louis —

Thanks to you and Lou for another great video. It was wonderful to get a detailed view of all the toppers. And I loved the sneak peeks of the upcoming jewelry. Just when I think that I don’t need another necklace, you show us something spectacular that I can’t pass up.

    Bring on October!

    Michelle

  18. Sarah

    Louis
thanks to you and Lou for the video. It looks more beautiful than the photos from yesterday.
    Stunning!!!!!
I have the Dfg, port, scarlet and black in the tcf blazers. I have not worn all because I have not had the opportunity- I need to step up my game.
I had on the black status print and ponte crops in black tonight with grecian gold earrings- lots of compliments. Thank you.
The blouses look perfect for a little neck camouflage. I missed out on the caramel faux suede pants so probably will pass on that color topper.
The other four are so beautiful and these opportunities are so rare to have such beautiful clothing.
I’ll be thinking of which ones to get when the price gets posted. As someone else stated – buy more and save would be a nice incentive.
Thanks again for all you do. Fyi, when my mom sees me now her comment on my
clothing is ‘ is that your friend?’ I answer of course- then she says how nice I look.
    thanks
    Sarah

  19. Seka

Louis, The 3L Show was fantastic – your TCF Topper is seriously superb!

Thank you for the information on zipper colours.

I was planning on getting the Ivory with the Gold zipper and the Caramel with the Antique Brass zipper – and was once again trying not buy another Black Jacket.

But the Black Topper with the Matte Black zipper…..Oh Gosh! After watching your video – I asked myself do I need another Linea Black Jacket – and the answer came back yes….thank goodness the Big Deal prices are usually very good.

As usual, the only dilemma will be to choose a color! Louis, your clothes are fabulous, but, you already know that!
I really appreciate the videos, so we can see all the details and how to mix and match with what we already own.
Thank you for taking the time and sharing your knowledge. Please thank Lou as well! Stay safe and be well.

  21. Carol

Thank you for doing this video. I was doing a presentation with a friend of mine who used to be a fashion/photographer’s model way back when. I was wearing the tailored blazer in the DFG TCF with the DFG faux suede pants. She could not believe I had separates that matched so well. In such different fabrics. You are so right when you say how lucky we are to have the ability to have a column of color in all different fabrics. Which is why I cannot pass up the sapphire or the caramel. And now I’m thinking about the scarlet…

  22. Melanie

The toppers and all of the other jackets are fabulous. Clearly high quality. Thank you for the great video and kudos to your assistant, Lou! Blessings to all.
