March Sneak Peek #5 is the PHOENIX BIRD PRINT SHIRT, A232513. You all know the story of the Phoenix…….the bird that rose from the ashes……my patron bird…. LOL. All kidding aside, I LOVE this print. It is an ancient archival print that I stumbled upon, some time ago, in one of my Art History books. Last spring/summer, Gucci had their major ad campaign featuring a girl resting against a stucco wall covered in tropical flowers. She was wearing a bird print shirt and slim pant……maybe you remember it? I thought it looked very fresh and a great way to wear print. I had this print in my files, remembered it, and pulled it out. I found the perfect fabric…..a SUPER LIGHT WEIGHT cotton blend……..97%cotton and 3% spandex………….YES……… COTTON. This is the most comfortable fabric you can wear when the heat and humidity becomes unbearable.
The shirt is a classic one. It has a classic collar with stand, and a button front. It has a two button cuff with a sleeve placket and button for that extra mens wear detail. The bottom is curved, which I think is very flattering especially on curvy women and the shirt has body darts to control the fullness without be tight……….Remember…….. this shirt has STRETCH! The color above is the ………SUNSHINE YELLOW……….and I have paired it with the sunshine yellow denim skirt, but it will go with many many things………of course it’s perfect with anything INDIGO and WHITE………..and maybe you already own a pair of colored crop pants or Capris that would be perfect with one of the colors in the shirt. This shirt can also have double duty as a SHIRT JACKET……roll up the sleeves pick a coordinating tank, and you are ready to go. As I said before, I really love everything about this print. It definitely has a VERTICAL MOVEMENT, which is also very flattering…………Above all else…..it is just plain………….FUN!…………scroll down for the additional colors………..enjoy……much Love………..Louis

Can’t wait for Monday’s new show. You are VERY busy I know but I have a question. I’m loving the yellow phoenix shirt and matching yellow denim skirt. I want the denim jacket, so what color would you recommend worn with the two yellow items? See you Monday!
Honestly they all work….it just depends on the look you are going for. I am not in the camp where you can’t wear a denim jacket and bottom…….where is that written? The indigo would be more spring into summer, the white would be very fresh and very summer and the yellow would give you a cute suit…..all are good.

Maybe one day, a matching scarf…a girl can dream! Until then, yes, you got it. Like the chain print, I will be buying a 3x and using that as yardage. I love the idea of the pants, a tank, wedges, and a matching scarf wound into my hair.
Stripe pants, stripe tank and stripe scarf??? WOW……actually it’s been on the runways already.
i predict this Phoenix shirt will be winner for you Louis. the color combinations are fab and the design classy. I especially like the yellow because it will look great with denim. Can not wait to purchase!

Love everything about this Phoenix Shirt and Pant!
The print is amazing. Cotton with a bit of spandex – one of my favourites. Love the design of the shirt – and the pant. I do not wear pants with a print/pattern – but these – I have to have! I know if I don’t get them I will kick myself. All of the colour options are fabulous. These two pieces are great together – but, as you have shown, go with so many other items.

OMG, OOH, OOH, OOH – I LOVE IT All!! The tobacco phoenix print pants will be on the top of my list – love the shirt too and am wondering if the solid tobacco pants (past seasons) is still available. I can’t seem to find them on line. Anyway, I also LOVE the large wine/black beads and haven’t been able to find them. Do you or anyone reading this reply know the item #?? I can’t wait for the show, but my husband certainly can. I think there’s quite a bit I need to order. The black and tobacco combo in the shell and shrug is very sophisticated. Is the background in the tobacco phoenix pants black or navy?
Planning a trip to Italy early Sept and would like to take that whole tobacco and black combination with one other color. I don’t wear red. Any suggestions keeping it will be warm but still early fall towards the end of the trip. Thanks Louis. Nancy

Your phoenix shirt rises above all others, Louis. The print is intoxicatingly gorgeous, and the flowers (not the bird) remind me of wome byzantine art pieces. My eyes drink it in. I love this in the same way I adored your medallion top.
