    Hi Louis,
Your pansies look lovely! I can’t wait to see them in their pots. I love this time of year and the beautiful colors of pansies!
    Happy Spring! Diana

I am impressed, Louis. This is quite the undertaking. Bravo!

My God Louis, it looks like a nursery with all the flats and sitting on herringbone bricks, which I ❤️ ! It’s going to be a show with the solid colors, but how will you design them??? We’ll see ! Be nice to Lily, she doesn’t feel well.

Oh how cheerful the first flowers of spring are! I can see why it was one of Jac’s favorite days. I too plan on wearing my Jac’s garden shirt or scarf while planting! Thank you for the tour and visit with the girls. I am looking forward to see everything potted and I will watch for daffodil pictures! I want to show my husband how beautiful they are lining the drive. Have a lovely evening! It is raining here and will be for the next several days. Glad it won’t be snow to shovel as that would be a lot ( er, I mean for my guys to shovel!).

You can tell your husband once they are planted there is little maintenance. At the end of the season when the leaves turn yellow and wilt they are to be cut down to the ground. In the spring a little Bulb Boost can be added. The plus is the animals don’t EAT THEM. I used to have red tulips up the whole drive, but the rabbits and squirrels thought I planted the flowers for them! I also have Black Eye Susan’s planted with the Daffodils so when the Daffodils are done the B.E.S. are growing and it doesn’t look like a mess. They last all summer and into fall. Again, a maintenance free plant…..Just needs cutting back in the late fall…….Also Karen…if you have a store near you that has a good make up department the sales women can help you select the right colors to go with the pink shirt. It would help if you were wearing the shirt. I know in NYC they will even sit you in a stool and do your colors.

I don’t know why our bunnies don’t eat our tulips here, but that is one thing they leave alone. We only have a few bunnies left as I think we recently had a Fox in the area. I have my heart set on lining the drive, but it will have to wait another year or so as I already have garden projects lined up for this year and I try not to do too much or my “workers” rebel! I am redoing one of my beds and will be adding some hardy hibiscus. The large flowers are so divine! I am loving the vanilla strawberry hydrangeas too and have to find a place for some, but I’m not sure they will be as hardy and carefree as the limelight hydrangeas.

I was thinking that it would be nice to go up to one of the suburbs and get my makeup done. I was always so busy with my sons that I never went shopping for fun. I always ordered via catalog and then online. I have more time for me now and I have been wanting to tweak my look just a bit and learn how to adjust my makeup for different colors. Just Jazzmom always has a lot of advice for that too! Have a wonderful day Louis and enjoy your pansies!

      Louis,
Could you repost a picture of your black eyed Susan’s
Lining your driveway, if you get the time. I’ll also do a search.

Never mind!!! I got ‘um, got ‘um, got ‘um …under the search term “the bes are in bloom”. They are breathtaking!!! They are much prettier than ordinary
Daisies! I love the statement border of bes’s, but first
Your dafs, this is going to be interesting.

I was thinking about it yesterday- if you planted the pansies ! I am planning to wear my pansies toop (Jac’s garden top) this week!

Sweet pansies. I hope that the beauty, the ritual, and your treasured memories of pansy days will bring smiles and lighten your heart this year, as spring begins. –Mary Jane
